| Journal Description : | The Journal of Sociomuseology is a twice-yearly scientific publication, edited by the Department of Museology at the - Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies). ISSN 1646-3714
It was founded in 1993 and is currently the oldest and continuing Journal of Museology in Portuguese. Its priority objectives are the publication of scientific papers in the area of ??Sociomuseology, for whose international consolidation it has contributed in a permanent way, giving support to the training and pratices in the field of Sociomuseology.
The journal is linked to the UNESCO Chair “#Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity” and to the International Movement for a New Museology (MINOM- ICOM)
The Journal publishes original articles in four languages: Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. It was reorganized in 2013 with a digital edition and has been accepted in the international indexing networks, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) and Information Matrix for the Analysis of Journals (MIAR). It is published in the Platform Public Knowledge Project (PKP). The Editorial and Referee Board is comprised of internationally renowned scholars and scholars from the field of museology, from Brazil, Canada, Spain, France, India, Portugal, UK, USA.
