In this endeavor, the University has launched a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal "MGM Journal of Medical Sciences" to encourage investigators to publish their research findings for wider dissemination with the aim of applying those for the benefit of the society. The peer-reviewed quarterly journal would cover full spectrum of the specialties in biomedical and clinical research. The journal aims to publish articles arising out of original research, specialized topics, review articles, editorials, and description of new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and technologies. In addition, the journal will include pictorial reviews, letters to the editors, book review, and notices of meetings and courses. In this endeavor, the journal hopes to provide a forum for the stimulation of new developments, clinical practices and research in the field of health and allied sciences. The salient feature of the journal would be to bring out from time to time special issues focusing on specific themes of national relevance including the outcome of scientific meetings, etc. A section would be devoted exclusively to young researchers and students in order to encourage them to publish their innovative ideas and research findings. Infact, it will be a "student-friendly" journal. |
