| Journal Description : | The Journal of Financial Innovation focus questions regarding the process and activities designed to promote financial innovation of financial products, especially when it comes to emerging markets. Given the transnational character of the Journal of Financial Innovation, manuscripts can be submitted in Portuguese and English, which will be published in English language.
Financial Innovation can be defined as the action of creating and popularizing new financial instruments as well as new financial technologies, markets and institutions. This includes innovation in the level of product, process and /or the institution. Institutional innovations in the field dealing with the creation of new types of financial companies, e.g. companies specializing in credit cards, electronic banking. Innovation at the product level is related to new products, e.g. derivatives, securitized assets, mortgages, among others. Have innovation at the process level comes to new ways of doing financial business including online banking, telephone banking and new ways of implementing innovation, science and technology in the financial field.
