It covers all aspects of the subject from basic science to clinical management as well the broad areas of the epidemiology related to foot and ankle care. The journal is essential reading for orthopedic surgeon interested in the foot and ankle and its disorders. It is the leading source for original clinically oriented articles on art and science of ankle and foot surgery, with focused interest in problems related to this region and other underdeveloped countries.
The aims of this journal are to publish manuscripts focused on foot and ankle problems, to promote research articles, unique case reports, trend setting articles presenting new research ideas, preclinical research articles showing theoretical or experimental knowledge contributing to the development of a treatment modality and over and above to cater the needs of medical personnel interested in foot and ankle surgery. The journal provides regular reviews by acknowledged experts, encourage peer-reviewed original articles, publishes symposia on relevant topics and also provide a forum for discussion with letters to the editor. This journal is an open access publication which gives the international readership full text access; the readership is larger than that of many subscription-based journals, which combined with the open access nature of the publication increases the visibility and impact of the published work.
