Modern research in the humanities may sometimes blur the boundaries between epistemological certainty with respect to knowledge acquisition and professionalization in a field of knowledge. This new publication is an attempt to regain that certainty through annexation of different research strategies to broaden the subject area. And to do so without making value judgments by adhering to the criteria that define modern scholarship and knowledge acquisition and production. Of course, critical scientific cognition is never divorced form the specific needs of human life, cultural orientations, historical context, and even sociology-economic priorities: education and development, health and welfare, and communication. This interdisciplinary direction of the journal does not at all negate in the least the internal unity of its contents.
The editorial policy of the Journal includes publishing even problematic papers and reports, once they have import for revealing and affecting the essentials or phenomenon of human life, understood in the board category of humanity or better yet to uses the Greek, anthropos. |
