| Journal Description : | Suprema – Revista de Estudos Constitucionais, the official legal journal of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil, which aims to disclose unpublished and original academic papers (articles, reviews, and translations) in the field of Law, focusing on the circulation of knowledge in research based on critical, theoretical, and empirical approaches, to provide a qualified space for academic dialogue.
The journal is sent to the entire academic community that is interested in the knowledge produced in the legal field, such as, for example, professors, students, researchers, jurists, and law operators.
The editorial line covers the most diverse branches of public and private law, among which: Constitutional Law; Administrative Law; Economic Law; Criminal Law; Procedural Law; Tax Law; Labor Law; Civil Law; Human Rights; International Law, and various other branches. Less conventional lines of the legal field are also encouraged, such as, for example, Law and Gender; Law and Race; and related approaches.
The articles must present original, unpublished, and independent analyses of their subject matter, and avoid formalist approaches that make little contributionto the debates in the legal field.
The following are not accepted in the journal: texts with previous publishing (that is, non-original texts), translations with previous publishing in the presented language, texts in the format and content of legal opinions; reviews of old books (more details about this below). |
