Abstract : This research is conducted to evaluate the bimaxillary protrusion in adult Filipino subjects according the inclusive criteria of this study to investigate the behavior of the discrepancy. Seventy cephalograms were selected according the inclusive and the exclusive criteria for bimaxillary protrusion. Then all were traced and analyzed by the cephalometric analysis with related variables which used in the study. Results of the study showed that the patients with bimaxillary protrusion indicated the high angle mandibular plane partly due to excessive upper posterior dentoalveolar height and partly because of short ramus. The patients showed hyperdivergent facial pattern with decreased overbite which demonstrated skeletal openbite and long face pattern. Filipino patients with bimaxillary protrusion have varied degrees of skeletal vertical discrepancy which makes the primary horizontal discrepancy more complicated. Hence, vertical consideration before any corrective treatment should take into the account regarding the limitations of the orthodontic treatment, especially in the severe cases. |

Abstract : Genetic parameters of some characters in rice evaluated with the use of two mating design: diallel
and NCIII. Analysis of variance showed significant differences among genotypes for all studied traits in diallel
and north NCIII mating design. The results of genetic parameter estimations for diallel mating design revealed
the existence of additive-dominance effects in controlling studied traits. Relatively high broad sense heritability
observed in Kernel Length (KL) and Final Viscosity (FV) trough diallel mating. The results of genetic
parameter estimations for NCIII mating design showed the presence of additive-dominance effects in
controlling of all studied traits. This results also indicated that the character’s day to 50% of flowering (DTF)
and FV controlled by over-dominance of gene effect. Broad-sense heritability was high for all traits and it had
highest amount in KL through NCIII. The results of genetic parameters estimation of NCIII mating design
approved results of diallel crossing method for FV in the existence of additive-dominance gene effects. Also,
for DTF, the results of genetic parameters estimation through NCIII mating design confirmed results of diallel
mating design. But it didn’t apply for KL. Due to the lack of consistent conform of estimates for some traits,
full following to the results of diallel designs will not lead to selecting good traits and effective breeding
methods. Thus, according to the results of this study it suggested that the decision to select a breeding method
for desirable traits based on the type of gene actions, made by using biparental progeny designs. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :A field experiment was carried out in the fields of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Baghdad in a soil mixed with green clay, classified under the group Typic Torrifluvents, to study the effect of paper feeding in iron and zinc in grains and leaves in wheat grains 99, 29 and 7. The experiment was carried out using the whole randomized sections and three replicates (0, 50 and 100 mg) Fe–1, (0, 50 and 100) Zn–1 mg in the stages of plant growth and interference was sprayed in the same proportions. The results showed that all iron and zinc concentrations and their interactions significantly increased all study parameters. However, the Zn Fe 2 2 interaction coefficients achieved the highest values with a value of 190.50 mg.kg–1. |
