Objective: The paper describes the outcomes of a research aimed at devising a comprehensive didactic approach to coordinate the activity of teachers working with the same class in the Spanish and Literature major. Methods: The documentary analysis and interviews were used to collect the information needed for the diagnosis, whereas modeling was used to devise a methodology having a didactic and comprehensive nature. Results: The main finding of the research consist of a methodology based on a comprehensive approach to the curriculum. Conclusions: The didactic-generalizing approach for the treatment of the Integrative Principal Discipline fosters the establishment of relationships between subsystems that allow analyzing the links of interdependence and complementarity of the set of subjects in the year, favoring learning, the professional development of teachers under training and the development of professional competencies.

Objective: The persistence of difficulties in the didactic treatment of the writing skills in English as a Foreign Language Education is expressed in students´ deficiencies to construct written texts in this language. The objective of the paper herein presented is, precisely, to suggest an approach to turn the process of writing in English into an integrating one to develop English language students´ communicative competence from the discipline Integrated English Practice. Methods: For the development of this work, a systematization of the pedagogical practice was held, together with a deep revision of documents. Result: The main finding and contribution of the study is the description of process-product approach to writing oriented to action. Conclusion: The process-product approach combines the procedural elements with the linguistic-communicative ones in order to achieve a coherent method both with the linguistic requirements and with the creative-communicative ones that characterize the communication in the written code.

Objective: This research aims at describing a study of university institution and communities from an analytical and constructive perspective of today’s panorama. Methods: Theoretical methods were used to construct a framework, systematization was used to collect experiences and modeling to outline a pattern that emphasizes agents’ active participation. Results: The main finding provides the foundations for a model promoting university and community relation based on active participation of professors, students, and local inhabitants. Findings of community projects sponsored by Latin-American universities are appraised. Conclusion: Today a university institution committed to community life is required, likewise, it should face the needs of citizens, and pursue the achievement of self-management.

This work moves towards cooperative learning in English lessons and its main objective is to illustrate the teaching procedures that could be used in the language instruction where cooperative learning can be effective in the professional training of the students from an approach that favors the opportunities brought by this type of learning. Methods: The research relies on methods that allow the systematization of experiences based on didactic-methodological and systematic practice, at the same time observation was also applied as an empirical technique. Results: The proposed procedures are the fundamental result of this inquiry. Conclusions: Cooperative related procedures make it possible to achieve a higher level of communicative competence of students and stimulate cooperation links between them

Objective: To propose a digital product aimed at facilitating medical science students the study of contents related to congenital defects of the central nervous system corresponding to the subject Nervous, Endocrine and Reproductive Systems. Methods: Theoretical methods were used in the selection of the contents. The Pascal programming language was used in the production of a software for the Microsoft Windows operating system. Results: The product obtained consists of a program and a database. The software was assessed by students and specialists applying questionnaires in which the respondents positively value the information and organization of the defects treated, the morphogenetic mechanisms, the general design and the functionality of the product, and relating images to particular defects. Conclusion: The use of software guarantees homogeneity in the treatment of content by different groups of teachers and favored a sound knowledge on the part of the students.

Objective: This paper aims at supporting the principle of unity of guidance referents, and its connection to comprehensiveness of planning, pedagogical approach, assessing systematization pertinence of supervision in educational institutions. Methods: Interviewing, surveying, observation and modeling were used to collect data; the structural, functional method to construct the proposal and experts’ assessment to evaluate the proposal feasibility. Results: The principle explains the theoretical connections of the supervision management process. It satisfies methodological functions by setting definite issues to be considered in devising, conducting and evaluating educational supervision as singular pedagogical process. Conclusions: The rationale of this principle is significant for devising educational supervision as a practical process leading to permanent improvement.

Objective: The school is a space for cultural construction where the quality of education can only be achieved through values and attitudes oriented towards a collective impulse to teaching. This article intends to make a reflection from the perspective of the systematization approach of experiences in the educational field, examining the African context south of the Sahara. Methods: The systematization of educational experiences allows the authors to interpret critically what are the major factors conditioning educational development in sub-Saharan Africa and what would be the steps to transform them. The comparative analysis of educational systems was carried out on the basis of educational indicators of these countries during the last five years. Results: An objective incursion is made on traditional African education and the integration of the formal education system, access to school and the possible commitment of the countries of sub-Saharan Africa to the education of their citizens. A proposal of indicators is made showing the need of improvement of the educational systems in those countries. The reflection is contextualized in Angola based on the interpretation of governmental programs for educational development and the need to systematize African, colonial and current experiences, for a construction of a training model closer to reality. Conclusions: The African countries of the South of the Sahara need a higher level impulse for the educational development of their peoples, through multilateral interventions for the strengthening and monitoring of sustainable development programs of the subcontinent.

Objective: The paper is aimed at illustrating the updated process of physical education professional working with chronic hemiplegia people, keeping in mind the difficulties described in the bibliography, the normative documents and those related to practice with those people. The objective is to argue the theoretical foundations which allow the elaboration of Physical Education professionals updating actions with respect to the care of people with chronic hemiplegia. Methods: The starting point was to construct a theoretical framework to devise the training actions. These actions were later accessed by means of a course organize at the city of Nouna, in Kossi province, Burkina Faso. Results: The findings proved the need of training to reach qualitatively superior outcomes characterized by its humanistic nature. Conclusions: The actions suggested for training physical education professionals are based on a sound knowledge on chronic hemiplegia, improving practice on the basis of research, communicating with parents or relatives, articulating theory and practice and organizing physical and sportive activities as pedagogical process.

In Chile, high school students (16 and 17) have difficulties in understanding the conics, given the weak articulation of representations of the types of theoretical and practical thoughts; they do not conceive the isolated conics of the usual metric. Given the cognitive nature of the problem, the theory of the Thinking Modes of Anna Sierpinska is used and it is proposed as a research objective to design a sequence of didactic activities that allows to move forward through different ways of thinking the conics, relating not usual metrics, so that graphic representations of them are not conceived as definitions. Methods: A qualitative approach was used within the interpretive-comprehensive paradigm. Questionnaires of open answers were applied to two groups made up of 17 students from third and 15 from fourth grade. Results: The sequence of didactic activities designed, articulates the practical and theoretical thoughts through the synthetic-geometric (practical thinking), analytical-arithmetic and analytic-structural (theoretical thinking) ways of thinking the conics, using two metrics, both non-Euclidean. The findings show that the students manage to relate the theoretical and practical thoughts, moving forward through different ways of thinking the conics, and generating understanding of the mathematical object. Conclusion: The evidences show that the types of thought coexist in the treatment of the conics with unusual metrics, as well as to demonstrate diverse transits between the ways of thinking, therefore, a deep (integral) understanding is achieved of the conics.

Objective: The education of a professional capacity to satisfy 21st-century society demands is a topmost of Higher Education. This paper aims at devising the way of operating with the variable professionals’ trainees formative process and assessing it. Methods: A qualitative-quantitative study was carried out by combining the technics of nominal grouping, modified Delphi and multidimensional correlation coefficient rpj. Results: The structure of the variable professionals’ trainees formative process is fully described (two dimensions, seven sub-dimensions, and 22 indicators) and assessed. Conclusions: The methodology used in this study allows the description and evaluation of the variable focused.

Objective: Informatics tools offer university professors new resources to change traditional teaching. This paper gives arguments to introduce PSeInt, a software widely used in Latin America, in the teaching and learning process of Lineal Algebra. Methods: Theoretical methods were used to construct a framework for the proposal. Likewise, the foundations, structure, functioning and possibilities of PSeInt software was analyzed to consider the software as a material of the research. Results: The main finding of the research is the statement of theoretical premises for using PSeInt software in the teaching and learning process of Linear Algebra, together with an illustration of suitable tasks. Conclusions: The introduction of this tool favors the development of algorithmically thinking, the comprehension of conceptual relations, an interdisciplinary approach and students’ motivation.

Objective: The paper devices a system of psychoeducational recommendations to favor the prevention of risk factors of behavioral disorders in adolescents of the city of Manta. Methods: A quantitative and descriptive research was developed, systematizing the main risk factors and protection of the adolescents in order to design the pursued recommendation, which were submitted to experts for validation. A high rating tendency was obtained regarding the content and structure of the recommendation system. However, some suggestions were made that were taken into account in the new proposal. Results: The paper suggests a number of recommendations for authorities, teachers and psychologists of educational institutions. Conclusions: It is concluded that the system of recommendations for the educational school prevention of behavioral disorders in adolescents designed, is suitable for adolescent mental health psychoeducational programs.
