Abstract :Possibly the most challenging concept in marketing is to deal with understanding the buyer behaviour. The attitude of Indian consumer has undergone a major transformation over the last few years. The Indian consumer today wants to lead a life full of luxury and comfort. He wants to live in present and does not believe in savings for the future. An important and recent development in India's consumerism is the emergence of the rural market for the several basic consumer goods. The middleclass has provided a big boost to the consumer culture. During the recent past and it is hoped that their buying behaviour will continue to change in the corning future. Due to the fast growth of the service sector per capita income of people of India is also increasing. The number of middleclass is increasing due to another fact that people are fast shifting from agriculture to the services and industry sector where growth prospects are reasonably high as compared to agriculture sector which is showing slow growth. |

Abstract :The National Pension System (NPS) is a defined contribution based pension system launched by Government of India with effect from 1 January 2004. Like most other developing countries, India does not have a universal social security system to protect the elderly against economic deprivation. As a first step towards instituting pension reforms, Government of India moved from a defined benefit pension to a defined contribution based pension system. Apart from offering wide gamut of investment options to employees, this scheme would help government of India to reduce its pension liabilities. Unlike existing pension fund of Government of India that offered assured benefits, NPS has defined contribution and individuals can decide where to invest their money. |

Abstract :CSR Activities have been the buzz word in the corporate sector for long;It has been a trump card with the marketers for long time; under their efforts of societal marketing which emphasis their highlight on the responsibility of the companies towards the society. More so, in the wake of the new Companies Bill, the relevance of CSR activities has been underscored in the Indian context. A report by SMC Global Securities Limited states that in the last financial year the combined net profit of listed companies in India was Rs. 4, 37,167 crores, at 2% the CSR kitty amounts to Rs. 8,700 crores. That is a huge amount. But it is been commonly observed that the activities that the companies carry out under the head of CSR more frequently tilt towards Philanthropy rather than the Social responsibilities; hence the effort. The scope of CSR has long been dubious, the paper tries to highlight an alternative facet to what CSR is commonly thought about to be in most of the corporate world. |

Abstract :The objective of this research is to study the effect of Role Overload and the Support Network on the ability to maintain work life balance among the working ladies. The research was conducted among women working in Self Financed Institutes of Western U.P. Work life balance entails attaining balance between professional work and personal life, so that it trims down the abrasion between the two. Work life balance boosts up the competence and thus, the efficiency of an employee increases and the same goes on with the productivity. It enhances satisfaction, in both the professional and personal lives. The Primary data was collected through questionnaire survey done on a sample of 50 female faculty members of various Self Financed Institutes of Moradabad and analyzed with the help of correlation analysis. The findings of the study reveal that the feeling of being overloaded with various roles and the inability to make justice with those roles takes a major position in the process of maintaining equilibrium between professional and personal lives of women. Another result found was the positive impact of the support network around the working ladies which helps them out to cope up with work life imbalances. |

Abstract :While there has been growing interest concerning the relationship between human resource (HRM) practices, and job satisfaction, but limited attention has been paid in banking industry. This study investigates the relationship between HRM policies and practices and job satisfaction in public sector banks of Moradabad. For the purpose of this study, the data was extracted from the branches of three public sector banks of Moradabad and the researcher analysed the data by employing simple correlation analysis. In the analysis, it is found that there is a positive relationship between job satisfaction and HRM policies and practices. The study concentrates upon six HRM policies and practices viz. performance evaluation, promotion practices, training and development, job description, work relationships and pay and fringe benefits. The findings indicate a strong relationship between different HRM policies and practices and job satisfaction. |

Abstract :The development scholars believed that one of the most important requirements for development in the 21st century is entrepreneurship and more attention to the needs of women. The field of entrepreneurship includes competition, financial gain and independence, and the socio-economic setting provides a base for individual entrepreneurship in which the entrepreneurs perform the entrepreneurial role because of a because of different reasons like desire to achieve, and individuals with a high need for achievement venture into enterprise building, whether small or large. This paper presents findings on the reasons why women from rural areas venture into business and what motivates them to do so. For this purpose, by use of schedule as an instrument data has been collected by 200 rural women entrepreneurs from 25 different villages of Satara District to know their influencing factors for entrepreneurship.
