Abstract : The concept of Ambush Marketing is not new as far as Indian market and marketers are concerned but this is an unpopular concept among the customers. This paper aims at giving an insight on Ambush marketing, its various types, how it works as a marketing tool etc. Ambush marketing is also known as parasitic marketing. Ambush Marketing is a situation in which a company tries to advertise its products in connection with a big public event, without paying any money, and generally they are not the official sponsor. This concept includes full marketing campaigns which are designed to run during an event in order to capitalise on the fact that an event is taking place. The concept of ambush marketing has gained most of the attention mainly in sporting events which attract people both locally and internationally. In Parasitic Marketing, Companies mostly connect themselves with a particular team or athlete rather than taking on a full sponsorship package. Ambush marketing practice is ethically questionable because the companies mainly aim at using the goodwill of other companies (mostly competitors) to gain the exposure in the target market. |

INVESTOR SENTIMENT AND STOCK RETURNS |
Author : Payal Jain |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The history of the stock market is full of events striking enough to earn their own names: the Great Crash of 1929, the 'Tronics Boom of the early 1960s, the Go-Go Years of the late 1960s, the Nifty Fifty bubble of the early 1970s, the Black Monday crash of October 1987, and the Internet or Dotcom bubble of the 1990s. Each of these events refers to a dramatic level or change in stock prices that seems to defy explanation. The standard finance model, in which unemotional investors always force capital market prices to equal the rational present value of expected future cash flows, has considerable difficulty fitting these patterns. Researchers in behavioral finance have therefore been working to augment the standard model with an alternative model built on two basic assumptions. |

ROLE OF ETHICAL ISSUES IN FINANCE AND FINANCE |
Author : Reetu Raj and Jitender Singh |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : This study investigates the judgments made by accounting majors when confronted with selected ethical dilemmas that pertain to accounting practice. Ethics, in its broader sense, deals with human conduct in relation to what is morally good and bad, right and wrong. To determine whether a decision is good or bad, the decision-maker must compare his/her options with some standard of perfection. This standard of perfection is not a statement of static position but requires the decision-maker to assess the situation and the values of the parties affected by the decision. The decision-maker must then estimate the outcome of the decision and be responsible for its results. In this article, Its been discussed about two major companies in which frauds occurred in recent times namely Enron and Satyam computers. Satyam scam is largest financial scam in India ever. We also discussed about what actually is a financial fraud and the responsibilities of the employees so that they can become loyal to the organization. |
