Abstract : Indian is a country with varied resources and people are more prone to use variety of products for their consumption. The process of consumption in the post liberalized era has started dominating the consumer community particularly the women segment. There are numerous products available in the market for the consumption and this situation has created a consumerist society. The multiple products with similar utility have created a competitive situation in the market. People at one side are not able to decide what to buy and on the other side they remain faithful to some products in particular. Thus, consumer behavior is one of the most important topics to be studied. The liberalization and global operation of businesses have given an opportunity to the customers/ consumers to select one out of various similar products available in the market. The global trend in the market has affected the consumer's behavior to a great extent, whether it is a case of seller operating in international, regional, local level or a case of consumers involved in purchasing consumable/ industrial products. Due to globaaliztion of business and liberalized policies of the government the auto industry has witnessed a major selling prospect. Many multinational companies have entered to fray, turning the market place into a virtual battlefield. |

Abstract : Business is all about serving the needs of one's customers and clients while doing it in such a way that everyone can be proud. One core value is obviously the economic one, that is, business is expected to be profitable and to make money for the owners, shareholders, and investors. Today, moreover, business must deal with another value – the expectation that business, as it grows and especially once it attains a certain size, wealth, and prominence, be “socially responsible.” Business houses all over the world are increasing in realizing their stake in the society and engaging in various social and environmental activities. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) holds a very important place in the development scenario of the world today and can pose as an alternative tool for sustainable development. As companies have shown great concerns for their immediate community and the stakeholders, it can be safely concluded that much of the fate of society lies in the hands of the corporates. This article takes as practical approach to explaining the concept of social responsibility in a modern-day global business environment. |

Abstract : The most important aspects to control the status of Socio - economic Conditions of the tea Garden people and farmers' is the Cultivation of tea. Thus, on 15th Oct.' 2012 the Chief Minister of Assam, after a cabinet decision declared tea as a “State Drink” and apprised to give more importance for growth and development of tea industry in Assam. Tea Plantation and manufacturing is the major industry of Assam. It has the largest acreage under tea, producing the highest quantity and also employing the highest number of laborers. It accounts for the employment to two – third of industrial labor and forms nearly 43% of the net income of the industrial sector of Assam. The tea industry of Assam is the predominant industrial sector of the state playing an important role in the economy of Assam. It has been contributing substantially to the state income and to the national exchequer as well, in the shape of foreign exchange earnings through its exports every year. It has also been contributing its part to generate employment for skilled and unskilled workers. The tea industry of Assam has also been empowering women by giving them job opportunities. |

Abstract : Capital budgeting is the important factor in the process of corporate decision making. The Data's from previous literature shows that managers prefer the payback period method (non-discounted payback model) over the net present value method (discounted cash flow model), which is considered as superior. Almost all investigative (discounted cash flow model), which is considered as superior. Almost all investigative discounted cash flow model, such as a simple payback period method. There is a gap between business practice and academic theory has long been a puzzle to the academic community. From December 2012 to March 2013, the survey was conducted by using a questionnaire sent to 5,163 people in charge of capital budgeting at firms listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange by focusing on capital budgeting practices. This paper presents the results of the questionnaire survey and evaluates the capital budgeting practices in Indian firms. The results show that Indian firms manage their decision-making by a combination of payback period method and net present value method while most financial managers utilize multiple tools in the capital budgeting process; these results reflect that there is an alignment of views between academia and business. |

Abstract : There is a great deal of increase in the adoption of environment management systems by the corporate sector. Literature has given importance to adoption of environmental practices as a key objective of organizational functioning making it important to identify with the support of human resource management practices. Today there is debate and uncertainty associated with how green management principles can be implemented effectively amongst the workforce of the organization. Green HRM means using every employee interface in such a manner in order to promote and maintain sustainable business practices as well as creating awareness, which in turn, helps organizations to operate in an environmentally sustainable fashion. Hence, Green HRM encompasses two major elements: environmental-friendly HR practices and the preservation of the knowledge capital. HR of the organization plays a major role in making environmental responsibility a part of the corporate mission statement. This review article identifies how corporations today develop human resource policies for promoting environment management initiatives. |
