The strategic importance of the agro-based business to the Malaysian economy has informed the drive towards expanding information and communication technologies (ICTs) access in the rural communities and cultivating ICTs in agriculture. The major thrust of this initiative is to bridge the digital divide by facilitating access to, adoption and usage of ICTs by about 40 percent of the country’s population living in the rural communities. Although, the increasing accessibility to ICTs in Malaysia has attracted investigations on the level of its usage and barriers to its usage empirically, yet the implications of its usage on productivity have been less debated. In response, this study proposes to explicate how Malaysian agro-based business entrepreneurs’ engagement in ICT usage could support the government’s initiative on inclusiveness, i.e., economic empowerment of the underserved. Further to constraining usage to ability, we posit an encompassing determinant regarding individual’s engagement, which is conceptualized from the ability-motivation-opportunity (AMO) framework. Furthermore, ICTs usage is hypothesized as the link from entrepreneur’s engagement to economic empowerment, i.e., inclusiveness. The hypothesized model will be tested with data to be collected from the survey of agro-based business entrepreneurs living in rural and underserved communities across Malaysia.

This is a health proposal to combat the incidence of HIV/AIDS in Kakiri Uganda by using a vertical and horizontal approach to strategically better and benefit mothers and children from the village of Kakiri who seek medical attention at a proposed clinic. The clinic will receive financial support from major international donors and will allocate funds to resources to detect and treat HIV/AIDS and other secondary diseases such as Tuberculosis, Malaria and non-communicable diseases. Screening and testing processes will help develop policies and intervention plans that will be used to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS to those not infected, especially children. .

This study aims to analyze the influence of simultaneous and partial leadership style and work discipline on performance through motivation as the intervening variable in the information service and data processing of the Army (DISINFOLAHT AD). In this study population and sample research as many as 75 people respondents on employees and soldiers in the Department of Information and Data Processing of the Army. In this study data analysis used with the statistical model with the help of SPSS software version 20. The results showed that the magnitude of direct influence of work discipline on employee performance is 0.234, while the amount of indirect influence of work discipline on employee performance through motivation of 0.792, it can be concluded that the value of direct influence is smaller than the value of indirect influence that gives meaning that variable motivation able to mediate work discipline on employee performance.

The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the statistical significance of the relationship between year-round education and achievement scores in reading and mathematics among fourth grade students from low socioeconomic backgrounds in the public schools of a Southeastern state.The results of this study revealed that school calendar, in isolation, is not a factor that can conclusively predict or improve the academic outcomes of students attending schools with large populations of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. This study extends the body of knowledge on the influence of school calendar on student learning outcomes and provides useful information for educational stakeholders regarding the influence of school calendar on academic achievement.
