Abstract :Employees perceive the fairness of organization’s systems and procedure is called perceived justice. Some studies indicated that perceived justice affects many organizational attitudes and behaviors, such as job satisfaction, absenteeism, counterproductive behavior, and turnover. Therefore, organization needs to give attention on employees’ perceived justice. This study was taken in PT. EFG, where its employees have been complaining about many changes happened. This study was conducted with mixed method approach. Quantiative data was collected through 114 online questionnaires. The questionnaire measures three dimensions which are distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. Qualitative data was collected through interview to five participants with high and low intensity of perceived justice. The findings show that supervisor play an important role in determining other employees’ procedural and interactional justice. Other factors such as characteristics, previous experiences, perception about change and coworkers also affect employees’ perceived justice. |

Abstract :Having graduated from senior high school, most of high school students continue their education to university level. This research aimed to find effectiveness of career counseling by using career information-processing model to assist career decision-making for students of MAN Y Jakarta. The career information-processing model emphasizes the mind and memory in the process of problem solving and career decision-making (Henderson, 2009). This research used quasi-experiment one group pre-test post-test design involving 7 participants who previously experienced the obstacle in career decision-making. The career counseling intervention was implemented in 9 sessions. Based on paired sample t-test (t=8.576, p<.01), result showed that career counseling intervention was effective to assist career counseling for students of MAN Y Jakarta. Thus, intervention in this study could serve as a model of intervention to assist students in career decision-making. |

Abstract :This study aims to determine whether there is a decrease in blood pressure and an increase in peace of soul after dhikr training being given to the elderly who suffer from hypertension. Subjects in this study were 9 elderly female people with the age range of 55-70 years. The method used in this research was experimental with pretest and posttest models. Training was conducted in 7 sessions. Measurements were performed before training (prettest) and after the training ended (posttest). Then the data was analyzed by Wilcoxon rank test using SPSS 16. Based on the data analysis, hypothesis test scores were Z = -2.627 and p = 0.008 (p <0.05). These results indicated a significant difference between the level of peace of soul in the delivery of training before and after training sessions.

Abstract :First-year university students experienced various demands and problems, such as developmental tasks, role transition processes, academic’s demands, and anxieties. To be more resilient when facing those demands and problems, increasing quality and quantity of social connection are needed; therefore, they need social intelligence. This research examined the role of social intelligence on resilience. 177 college freshmen in Jakarta were chosen with incidental sampling technique. This study used adaptation of Tromso Social Intelligence Scale to measure social intelligence and adaptation of Connor Davidson – Resilience Indicator Scale to measure resilience. Simple regression analysis shows that social intelligence contributes in about 16% on resilience. Multiple regression analysis shows that Social Information Processing has the most significant role among other dimensions of social intelligence. This dimension describes the ability to understanding various (social) messages in social environment. Thus, social intelligence development is imperative for enhancing the resilience of first year students in the university. |

Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to know how significant is the influence of adversity quotient to academic achievement. This research used correlational method with causality type. Respondents of the study were 147 students of Faculty of Psychology UIN SGD Bandung year 2013. The samples were 109 people, selected by simple random sampling technique. AQ measured by a Quick Take Adversity Response Profile (ARP) scale that is modified for educational settings. This study used simple regression analysis. Based on data processing using SPSS 20th version, it was obtained sig value (0.029) < a (0.05). This value shows that H0 is rejected, so there is a significant adversity quotient influence to academic achievement. Coefficient of determination equal to 0,044, showing influence of AQ to academic achievement is 4.4%. Therefore AQ is one of the low factor that affect academic achievement. |

Abstract :Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a chronic illness, in which 90% of the sufferers are early adult women. They faced many difficulties which can cause depressions. People with lupus in Syamsi Dhuha Foundation show high positive affect and said that they satisfied with their lives. This research is a population research to 30 people with lupus in Syamsi Dhuha Foundation, using correlational technique. The goal is to examine the correlation between gratitude and subjective well-being of early adult women with lupus at Syamsi Dhuha Foundation. The instrument for gratitude is GRAT-R (Watkins, 2002) and for subjective well-being are SPANE (Diener, 2012), SWLS (Diener, 1987), and Domain Satisfaction Scales (Public Attitudes and Behaviours towards the Environment Omnibus Survey, 2007). The results are: 1) Strong positive correlation between gratitude and subjective well-being; 2) Twenty seven subjects who show high gratitude; and 3) Twenty one subjects report high subjective well-being.

Abstract :Amanah is one important concept in the context of Indonesian society. Amanah is one admirable trait that should be owned by individuals, including trader. This study aims to explore the concept of the amanah of trader, as well as see the dynamics of the amanah of the trader. Number of participants were 142 people. This research used the Indigenous Psychology approach. An open-ended question was used as measuring instrument. The analysis showed that the amanah of the trader located on four issues, namely, benevolence, honesty, professional and positive character that were called by amanah belief. The society assess amanah of trader depends how amanah belief was formed on the trader that were influenced by individual factors (personality and cognitive process) and situational factors (institutional and social identity). Implications of the research results will be discussed in the context of Indigenous Psychology.

Abstract :The educational process can become a source of stressor and anxiety, especially in the final stage of a college education (thesis exam) for students. 5 of 15 College student Health Sciences Muhammadiyah Palembang experienced acute anxiety. In addition, 19 of the 67 students in STIKes Muhammadiyah who undergo remedial thesis examination have other physical complaints. Self healing using reiki energy can be utilized to reduce the anxiety state. This study investigates the effect of self healing reiki energy on anxiety. A quasi experimental design was used with the sample of forty respondents (20=intervention, 20=control group). One Way Anova was used to test the hypothesis. The results showed that there was a significant difference of the mean score of anxiety between the intervention and the control group during the post-test. Thus, treatment of self healing with Reiki energy is quite effective in reducing anxiety levels. |

Abstract :This study aims to improve communication skills of the seventh-year students in MTs. Annur Karangjunti Kabupaten Brebes Jawa Tengah. Their low communication skills shown by unpolite interaction with the teacher, hurt others’ feelings, and passive in the class. The sample were 35 students from 177 of population. This study used group guidance service and communication skills scale. The data analysis technique used t-test. According to the test results, there was an increase in the communication skills of the students, group 1 was 25,66%, group 2 was 21,5%, and group 3 was 28,54%. In conclusion, group guidance service can influence communication skills of the seventh-year students in MTs Annur Karangjunti Kabupaten Brebes Jawa Tengah. |
