The non therapeutic use of antibiotics in swine feed can select for antibiotic resistance in swine enteric bacteria. Leaking swine waste storage pits and the land -application of swine manure can result in the dispersion of resistant bacteria to water sources. However, there are few data comparing levels of resistant bacteria in swine manure impacted water sources versus unaffected sources. The goal of this study was to analyze ground water situated up and down gradient from a swine facility for antibiotic - resistant enterococci and other fecal indicators

Background: Insomnia is the most prevalent sleep disorder. However, 40% of primary health care (PHC) physicians think that sleep disorders are not common. Objectives: To assess the as sociation between socio - demographic and lifestyle determinants in one hand and the occurrence of insomnia in another hand. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional study conducted in 10 PHC centers of Jeddah City. A total of 378 adult participants were interviewed by a questionnaire was used for data collection. The questionnaire included questions about sociodemographic characteristics and life style factors. In addition to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Insomnia Severity Index.

Angiolipoma, a subtype of lipoma, is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor. It is common in the extremities with rare occurrence in the oral cavity. In this case report, we present a case of non infiltrating type of angiolipoma present in the buccal mucosa which was surgically excised under local anaesthesia and the specimen was histopathologically examined. The histopathological examinatio n revealed mature adipocytes arranged in sheets separated by thin fibrous connective tissue with interspersed vessels.

Xerostomia is a subjective symptom of dry mouth. It can occur as a part of systemic disease, drug induced side effect or following therapeutic radiation therapy to the head and neck region. The primary complication faced by these xerostomic patients is the difficulty in retention of removable dentures. It is important to recognize that prosthodontic management of these patients requiresspecial attention and care. In an at tempt to overcome the presence of xerostomia, several techniques of introducing reservoirs into the dentures containing salivary substitutes have been proposed. Following case report presents a more simplified approach for the construction of areservoirin the maxillary denture, specifically in patients where other treatment modalities have failed . This technique provided excellent lubrication to oral tissues, hygienic for the patient and utilized routine denture base material.
