Objective: This descriptive study was planned to evaluate of factors affecting the healthy lifestyle behaviors of healthcare professionals.

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the level of loneliness and social support perceptions of the elderly. Methods: The study was conducted between January 2018 and May 2018 at a physiotherapy branch, which provides remote diagnosis and treatment services in Aydin. The data were collected by face-to-face interview technique. Data were collected using descriptive information form, UCLA Loneliness Scale, and Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale. Descriptive statistics (percent, mean, standard deviation), Mann-Whitney U test, One-Way ANOVA variance analysis and Pearson correlation statistical analysis methods were used in the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: Out of elderly 54.3% of were male, their mean age was 71.98 ± 7.10, 21.7% were primary school graduates, 62.8% were married and 71.7% had social security, 86.1% he reported that he had a chronic illness. Of the elderly individuals, 73.6% said that they used assistive devices, 5.5% said that life satisfaction was good and 31.9% felt they were lonely. It was found that women had higher social support scores than men and that they were influenced by gender, marital status, educational status, social security presence, presence of disability, place of loneliness, loneliness and perceived social support level. negative relationship found. Conclusion: It may be appropriate to develop activity programs to increase the level of social support for the elderly and to decrease the level of loneliness

Central venous catheters are an indispensable treatment in modern medicine.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate association between compliance to fluid control and patient activation of patients receiving hemodialysis. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 132 patients who received hemodialysis treatment at two state hospitals and a special dialysis center and agreed to participate in the study. Data were optained using patient identification form, fluid control in hemodialysis patients scale (FCHPS) and patient activation measure. Results: FCHPS score was 52.93±6.07, while mean scores of the subscales were; knowledge subscale 18.56±1.97, behavior subscale 21,75±3,71 and attitude subscale 12.62±2,88. The mean score of the patient activation measure was 40.63±8.44. There was statistically significant positive correlation between scores of patient activation measure and FCHPS. There was statistically significant positive correlation between patient activation measure and information and behavioral subscales. It was found that there were statistically significant negative correlations among HHSBP scores and the amount of interdialytic fluid intake, and ultrafiltration. Conclusion: Although patients receiving hemodialysis have good knowledge scores for fluid control, their behaviors and attitudes are found to be less. Most of the patients are found to have higher intake of interdialytic fluid and activation level 1. As patient activity level increases, compliance with fluid control also increases. According to these findings, it is concluded that attempts to provide fluid control in patients receiving hemodialysis treatment; in addition to providing information, it may be advisable to plan for the individual to change attitudes and behaviors and to increase the level of activity

Charles Ambroise Bernard came to the Ottoman Empire with a special invitation. In the Ottoman Empire, he gave the first forensic lesson to medical students who in the 5th and 6th grade. The first autopsy in the Ottoman Empire was done in 1843 by Dr.Bernard.

There are two different forms of alpha-lipoic acid, oxidized and reduced lipoic acid, both forms of activity in the organism. Reduced lipoic acid is also known as dihydrolipoic acid. Alpha lipoic acid, the synthesis site of mitochondria, is synthesized from octanoic acid and sulfur source. It is also called universal antioxidant because it is the only antioxidant that soluble both in oil and in water.
