Abstract :Solapur District is selected as a study region for the present investigation. The district is situated on the south- east fringe of Maharashtra state and lies entirely in the Bhima and sina basins. Economy of the region has an agrarian base. Out of total working population nearly two third (67.55%) working population engaged in primary economic activity, especially in agriculture and one third in secondary and tertiary sectors of economy. In this district the cattle market centres depend upon the agriculture. So the cattle market centres at Sangola, Akluj, Barshi, Solapur, Modnimb ( Weekly Cattle Market ), Pandharpur ( Tri Annual fair Cattle Market ) and Solapur, Sangola ( Annual Fair Cattle Market ) are the biggest cattle market centres and are famous for khilari Bullocks, Cows and Pandharpuri Buffaloes all over India. |

Abstract :Vijay Tendulkar is a leading contemporary Indian playwright. His Shantata! Court Chalu Ahe (1967) is a well known Marathi play.Priya Adarkar translated it as Silence! The Court is in Session (1978) .He emerged as an artist with national reputation and recognition. In his plays he successfully depicts the social problems. He looks at the problems of society from a new and original angle. Over the past century there has been a great increase in number of women in the labor force. Though there has been a lot of advocacy towards bringing equality. It is still a farfetched idea. Women's contribution to the present day business is very significant and rapid increasing .But women still have to face a lot of challenges to acquire a status of equality. Abstract :A state level function of folk arts held in Dharwad on 28th July 2007 at Kalabhavan. 'Samata Sambhrama' a two days folk festival and folk artists came to Dharwad and performed their skill. The Dalit artists participated activity in this folk festival. The 'Pooja Kunita' headed by Hanumant Nayak of Kanakapur, veeragase, headed by Miss M.Shilpa and her team of Chikamagalur, Dollu Kunita by Phaniyamma and her team of Shimoga and Jaggalige vadana by Shivappa Malagi of Dharwad were attracted the public even if there is raining their enthusiasm was high level. |
