Author : ARVIND DESHMUKH |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : William Shakespeare was born in 1564 to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. His father was a glover by trade, but he also experimented with farming. Shakespeare was most likely educated at the Stratford free grammar school. He likely apprenticed at the age of thirteen when the family's financial situation was going downhill. He married Anne Hathaway in November of 1582. As a playwright, Shakespeare was not well known until 1592. Stages were closed then because of the plague, but by the time they reopened in 1594, he had written Venus and Adonis, as well as Lucrece. Now he began writing for the Lord Chamberlayne company. Although he was also an actor for the company, he was more famous for his writing. His plays are difficult to put in chronological order, but he wrote twelve during this association. Frequently, the company was requested by Queen Elizabeth, and later, by King James I. Shakespeare retired in 1610, returning to Stratford from London. He busied himself with the community and was comfortable with the large fortune he had earned. In his will, written only a month before he died, Shakespeare left most of his estate to his daughter, Susanna, but also provided for his wife's comfort. William Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616. |

Author : BHARATI. S AND BIRADAR SHRISAIL |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The history of education in Karnataka is very interesting. One can trace its footsteps, starting from the third century B.C. E. Initially education was imparted only orally, but after the development of letters and literature, it took the form of writing. Palm leaves and wooden tools were used for education, which helped spread of the written word. It is important to note that ancient Indians did not consider literacy as the only form of education; self-sufficiency, social service, and spiritual knowledge were the actual goals of developing reading and writing skills. Temples and community centers took the role of schools; on numerous occasions, one's education started in one's own home. We see that in early education as well as in vocational education, the father of the student played a very important role. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :s (anxiolytic) of Aegle marmelos extract. These effects were compared with standard drugs of their class (Diazepam). Aegle marmelos extract showed anxiolytic activity in elevated plus-maze and Y-maze models. A. marmelos extract administration at both the doses (100 mg/Kg, 200 mg/Kg, p.o) significantly increased open arm activity in EPM by increasing time spent and number of entries into open arms and decreased the number of visits in Y-maze, as compared to those of control. Effect of higher dose was more than lower dose. This anxiolytic effect was achieved without any impairment in motor co-ordination in contrast to diazepam which has skeletal muscle relaxant activity at antianxiety dose. Present study shows that Aegle marmelos possess anxiolytic properties.
