A STUDY AND REVIEW OF EMPLOYEE VALUE PROPOSITION : A TOOL OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT |
Author : Avinash Pawar and K. S. Charak |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The Employee Value Proposition represents the perceived overall deal between employer and employee. The employer makes an offer to the employee (or the give) and expects contributions (or the get) from the employee in return. The inducements and contributions consist of mutual obligations and promises. Inducements typically concern things such as career progression, organisational support, fair and transparent performance management and more tangible things such as pay and holiday entitlements. Contributions relate to things such as working hours, being an advocate of the employer within and outside the organisation, bringing skills, enthusiasm and entrepreneurship to productive work. Importantly, within the overall deal there are nested deals operating at different levels of the organisation, such as the tailored, workable arrangements forged between team leader and team members, these reflect opportunities available for employees to shape their work experience. Top-performing companies create a sustainable EVP and total rewards strategy based on the needs, demographics and preferences of their workforce. Employee value Proposition refers to the rewards and benefits that an employee receives in return of the performance that he gives at the workplace in the organization. Manpower Planning: Manpower planning is defined as putting the right number of people ,right kind of people at the right place ,right time ,doing the right things for which they are suited for the achievement of organizational goals. EVP is at the core of all other organisational processes. The characteristics of the EVP need to be reflected in the corporate and employer brands. The EVP, if maintained well is the driver of engagement, it informs recruitment messages and communications and it helps inform strategic HR priorities. It helps support and drive business strategy forward. People are your most important assets. Treat them People are your most important assets. Treat them like they make a difference and they'll make a difference. This paper takes the Review of Concept of Employee Value Proposition and its relationship with Human Resource Management |

Author : Barbole . A. N and More S. M |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : In India, Self Help Groups are now supported by government policy and NGO intervention. These are being seen as a magic wand for all the development of poor. The concept of micro finance was introduced in India in 1992 for overcoming the existing constraints and providing adequate credit to the poor in general and the weaker section in particular by following a simple procedure. Self Help Groups are important vehicles for credit delivery to self-employed persons particularly women in rural and semi urban areas. The major spin-off of the micro-credit movement at the grassroots level has been the fact that women have used this system to come out and join a mainstream activity in the village. In many areas particularly where there has been support from NGOs or strong SHGs women have gained a voice and been able to sure this space to come out of their traditional roles into a more proactive male space. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The Concept of existentialism and existential crisis has been constant themes in writings of authors and writers of classical Western Literatures. Though story-tellers, novelists, writers of prosaic works, poets and playwrights are numerous in English literature, I analyze here incidents and events of existential crisis in the works of a very handful of persons such as Geoffrey Chaucer, the first well-known writer of the English literature, William Shakespeare the poet, and playwright of all seasons, and a few Nobel Prize Winners such as John Galsworthy, T.S. Eliot and William Golding etcetera. These belong to different points of times. I have not included here the persons known only for their poetical works as I think I might do it in my later research. |

Abstract : The primary objective of the Kannada Historians of the recent past is to explore disseminate and critique Kannada culture. This however does not mean any dogmatically exclusivist approach. This objective is perfectly compatible with the objective of absorbing neighboring cultures but within the framework of natiuism. Indeed this objective has been best captured by the first major scholar in Kannada language, Alur Venkatarao when he declared….. To enter and establish nativism, we need to emulate classical models which is followed by the veteran epigraphists and scholars. Shri. N. Laksmi Narayan Rao and R.S. Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The silicic Dokhan Volcanic rocks of Gabal Nuqara and Gabal Abu Aqarib occupy an area of the Central Eastern Desert, SSW of Safaga city, Egypt. The silicic volcanics of G. Nuqara crop out in two elongate parallel NW-SE trending belts, and are conformably overlain by the intermediate Dokhan Volcanics. The accumulation of the volcanics in belts is not probably consistent with a central (volcanic neck) eruption. The silicic Dokhan Volcanics of G. Abu Aqarib show explosive eruption products giving rise to thinly banded rhyolitic tuffs at the top of the volcanic sequence. G. Nuqara volcanics include rhyolite porphyry, rhyodacite, dacite and equivalent pyroclastics, and G. Abu Aqarib volcanics are rhyolite porphyry, rhyodacite and equivalent pyroclastics. The Dokhan Volcanic (both of G. Nuqara and G. Abu Aqarib) have calc-alkaline affinity with alkali enrichment. They were erupted in a volcanic arc in an active continental margin tectonic setting. The average eU contents of the silicic volcanic rocks of G. Nuqara and G. Abu Aqarib are 9.4 and 8.5 ppm, respectively. Because of the relatively low average content of uranium, visible U mineralization is absent. Uranium is present as a trace in accessory resistate minerals (e.g apatite and zircon). |

Author : Nivedita Thapliyal , Sandeep William And Sudhir Thapliyal |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Mental retardation (MR) is a generalized disorder appearing before adulthood, characterized by significantly impaired cognitive functioning and deficits in two or more adaptive behavior. It has historically been defined as an Intelligence Quotient score under 70. Once focused almost entirely on cognition, the definition now includes both a component relating to mental functioning and one relating to individuals' functional skills in their environment. As a result, a person with a Below-Average Intelligence Quotient (BAIQ) may not be considered mentally retarded. Syndromic mental retardation is intellectual deficits associated with other medical and behavioral signs and symptoms. Non-syndrome mental retardation refers to intellectual deficits that appear without other abnormalities. |

REFORMS IN INSURANCE SECTOR IN INDIA - A EMPIRICAL STUDY |
Author : S.Bulomine Regi , Anthony Rahul Golden.S and C.Eugine Franco |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Insurance sector reform in India is likely to increase insurance demand in the country. However the experience of several countries with ?nancial reforms has been that savings have tended to go either way. Using a two-period model we show that in the short run, absent any income or productivity growth, private savings go unambiguously down since market based insurance replaces savings hitherto meant for self-insurance (the precautionary motive). Thus insurance is likely to edge out the precautionary component of savings. This paper deals with growth and modifications of Insurance sector in India. |
