“STUDIES OF BIRDS PLAY PROMINENT AND DIVERSE ROLES IN FOLKLORE, RELIGION, AND POPULAR CULTURE AT SIDHI (M.P.)” |
Author : Naveen Singh Baghel , Bharti Singh and Umesh Prasad Patel |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In religion, birds may serve as either messengers or priests and leaders for a deity, such as in the Cult of Make, in which the Tangata manu of Easter Island served as chiefs, or as attendants, as in the case of Hugin and Munin, two Common Ravens who whispered news into the ears of the Norse god Odin. Priests were involved in augury, or interpreting the words of birds while the "auspex" (from which the word "auspicious" is derived) watched their activities to foretell events. They may also serve as religious symbols, as when Jonah embodied the fright, passivity, mourning, and beauty traditionally associated with doves. Birds have themselves been deified, as in the case of the Common Peacock, which is perceived as Mother Earth by the Dravidians of India. |

BIODIVERSITY OF JASSIDS FROM AGROECOSYSTEMS OF SIDHI DISTRICT (M.P.) |
Author : Sushil Kumar Prajapati , Arti Saxena and Akhilesh Kumar Suman |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Jassids (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) are cell sap sucking insects of plants of economic importance. While sucking the cell sap they inject toxins into the plant body and cause yellowing and curling of leaves and flowers. Eventually, growth of the plant is retarded and flowering and fruiting bodies drop down. The sooty moulds affect photosynthesis and the yield of crops. Therefore, biodiversity of Jassids has been reported from Sidhi district. In all, 22 species of Jassids belonging to the genera Deltocephalus, Empoasca, Nilaparvata, Nephotettix, Recilia, Cofta and Typhlocyba have been found damaging various crops of Sidhi district. |

The archaeological survey of the entire city of Vijaynagar helped us to explore various mounds and sites of historical importance. Archaeologists like John M. Fritz and Michell George brought into light some fascinating structure of the existing time. Other researchers who involved in its study are Carla M. Sinopoli, Kathleen D. Morrison and Anila Verghese. One can understand the Historical relevance of Hampi in the backdrop of Vijaynagar’s social, political and economical situation. Author : Debabrata Debnath |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The backward classes have come to realize that after all education is the greatest material benefit for which they can fight. We may give up material benefits, we may pass by material benefits of civilization, but we cannot give up our right and opportunities to reap the benefit of the highest education to the fullest extent. That the importance of this question from the point of view of the backward classes who have just realized that without education their existence is not safe. Many a time untouchability in India and slavery in Europe are being compared with the understanding that untouchability is tolerable or less harmful than slavery. It is true that neither the slavery nor untouchability is a free social order, but as Dr. Ambedkar maintained, If a distinction is to be made and there is no doubt that there is the distinction between the two, the test whether the education, virtue, happiness, culture, and wealth is possible within slavery or within untouchability. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Indian planning is an open process. Much of the controversy and the debates that accompany the preparation of the plans are public. The initial aggregate calculations and assumptions are either explicitly stated or readily deducible, and the makers of the plans are not only sensitive but responsive to criticism and suggestions from a wide variety of national and international sources. From original formulation through successive modifications to parliamentary presentation, plan making in India has evolved as a responsive democratic political process and the culmination of the same in the final document is an impressive manifestation of the workings of an open society. |

DOCTRINE OF LIFTING THE CORPORATE VEIL |
Author : Monu Chauhan , Pankaj Shah |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Corporate has been described as the ‘most pervading of the fundamental principles of company law”. It constitutes the bedrock principle upon which company is regarded as an entity distinct from the shareholders constituting it. When a company is incorporated it is treated as a separate legal entity distinct from its promoters, directors, members, and employees; and hence the concept of the corporate veil, separating those parties from the corporate body, has arisen. The issue of “lifting the corporate veil” has been considered by courts and commentators for many years and there are instances in which the courts have negated from the strict application of this doctrine. This doctrine has been established for business efficacy, necessity and as a matter of convenience. |

Other scale for attitudinal assessment was developed on the basis of Kerlinger’s (1967) study. This scale was used used to classify teachers in to Person oriented and Task oriented groups based on their attitudinal valences. Data obtained from philosophical orientation measure is analyzed in respect of two attitudinal polarities and across attribute variables-gender, nature of school and experience of the teachers. Data has been analyzed by utilizing one-way analysis of variance and student’s t-test. It has been found that philosophical orientation of secondary school teachers are not influenced by their attitudinal valences. Both tsk oriented and person oriented teachers have almost equal preference for philosophical alliance in respect of ‘Essentialism’, ‘Progressivism’, ‘Social Reconstructionism’ and ‘Behaviorism’ . |

AN ORDER LEVEL INVENTORY MODEL FOR WEIBULL DISTRIBUTED DETERIORATING ITEMS WITH INVENTORY RETURNS AND SPECIAL SALES |
Author : Yamarthi Uday Kumar |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In this chapter we have considered that the inventory is depleted not only by demand but also by Weibull distribution deterioration. Moreover we find that the feasibility condition for working of this model is proposed. Also the above sensitivity tables shown that the in?uence of the parameter ‘ß’ is more significant than the changes in the other parameter like ‘a’ and C_4 values. lt would be interesting to deal with this model in the context of finite Horizon Model. However, one cannot expect a closed form solution for the optimum quantity to be retained. In such situation one can use any search method like Genetical Algorithm. |

Author : Adgaonkar Ganesh Sudhakarrao |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :For the past several decades, the business world is going through a period of rapid changes; technology shifting from mechanical world to digital world - the internet, computers, cell-phones and the social media - having profound impact on the behavior of producers and consumers. On the other hand increasing population above sustainability level has forced businesses to device ways towards judicious utilization of scarce resources. Climatic changes like global warming and rising pollution are challenging countries to limit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, but at the cost of imposing a higher burden on business. These and the other changes require a major rethinking of marketing as a discipline and practice, because “It’s not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, it’s the one most responsive to change. |
