production. In Brazil, laws are written to assimilate the
government procedures such as social needs, in what turns to land factors, subsistence, and productivity. This possession of the land, for innumerable individuals only can be materialized from governmental intermediation through public policies aiming the creation of rural settlements with incentives to family agriculture. AN INNOVATIVE WAY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING OF CORRELATIVE CONJUNCTIONS IN ENGLISH |
Author : M. Somathasan |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Aconjunction is a part of grammar, i.e. a part of speech. It joins words, phrases, or clauses together (Ehrlich, E. and Murphy, D.,
1991). Conjunctions such as and, but, because, when, while,
since, if, etc, link thoughts and ideas in speaking and writing. They are extremely useful and vital for forming sentences. Further, they are used to avoid the sentences with like bullet points and help in easy flow of text. There are three types of conjunctions in English: coordinating conjunctions as in I like both English and linguistics, subordinating conjunctions like in When I went to the station, the train had gone, and correlative conjunctions as in The programme was developed not only
for the students, but also for the teachers. The researcher in this paper concentrates on the correlative conjunctions, their structures, and usage in the written and communicative aspect, because over the years, the area of correlative conjunctions which is important in language study, has received less attention from both the students of English as a Second Language (ESL) and the students of linguistics in comparison with other parts of speech like nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. Thus, having considered this concept in mind, a student-friendly innovative teaching and learning tool known as ‘Conjunction Learner’ is developed with the help
of the computer technology to deeply promote the knowledge of the correlative conjunctions of the students of English and linguistics.

Author : Alexandre Leonardo Simões Piacentini , Marcos Tadeu Simões Piacentini , Alexandre de Freitas Carneiro , Ademir Luiz Vidigal Filho and Lucélia Largura do Vale |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :School organizations and, in particular, the implications of the
Direct Money in School Program (PDDE) in school management have been little studied under the Organizational Theories
employed by Management. This fact justifies a search for
subsidies.General objective is to analyze how the implications of the adhesion of these organizations to the PDDE have been portrayed in the scientific literature; (1) analyze theoretical concepts applicable to the study; (2) to evaluate the production of knowledge through systematic review; (3) and to identify the implications listed in the selected scientific productions. The problematization questioned that opportunities of study in Administration are raised with the adhesion of school organizations to the PDDE. An integrative review method was used with the support of the academic google tool to approach studies published from 1989 to 2015. The final portfolio was categorized in terms of objectives, methodology and conclusions. Integration has resulted in three approaches: democratic management, autonomy and decentralization;
management of financial resources; and the third addressed to the two perspectives together. The results indicate that (1) the PDDE has been the object of a predominant study in the Human Sciences, especially in the field of Education; (2) convergence in terms of approach and methodological procedures favoring Case Studies; (3), and that studies on the management of financial resources prevail. It is considered that there are research spaces in Administration, among which, related to the management of school organization, governance and
planning. The task offers subsidies to researchers, school managers and public policy makers. |

than before, making everyone speculate that the government will decide further actions (the partial removal of subsidies on many strategic goods) as part of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Besides, the Egyptian pound still continuing to decline against its counterpart, the
dollar, since the dollar price in banks reached to about
18.75 as the price to buy and about 19 pounds as the rate of sale. As for the Egyptian living reality, the flotation decision had a negative impact which was clearly evident in the sharp rise of the prices of all food commodities and production requirements, as well as a severe shortages of many commodities, at the top
was the sugar and many medicines, especially after the cessation of the medicine companies form importing, resulting from higher customs dollar as a means to impose pressure on the government to raise prices. Also, the decision to reduce support form gasoline, diesel fuel and supplied goods had a great impact of the rise of all prices of goods and services; such as education, transportation, prices of electricity, water,

PROGRAMA BOLSA FAMÍLIA COMO FERRAMENTA DE EMPODERAMENTO DA MULHER: UMA ANÁLISE NO CONTEXTO PERIFÉRICO DA CIDADE DE MANAUSAM |
Author : Elisiane Sousa de Andrade, MBA |
Abstract | Full Text |

Abstract | Full Text |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :India is the largest democracy in the world and individual freedom is its real base. In the present time, the concept of single party domination rule is over and India has entered into multi-party coalition government era. Coalition government has become an integral part of present political system in India. Coalition government is a product of parliamentary democracy. The emergency of Regional Political Parties has mainly contributed towards the concept of coalition governments in India during the period of 1990-2010. The Regional

Europe, Australia and Japan have coalition governments. Principles of adult franchise, free and fair election, independent judiciary and powerful media, multi-party systems are backbone of a working and healthy democracy. SOUTH ASIA AS A REGION IN INTERNATIONAL POLITICS |
Author : Dr. Ran Vijay Singh |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Te geographical compactness and contiguity added to the common legacy of the British rule and the common religions and languages make the core countries of south Asia
indistinguishable from each other. But this has not necessarily brought about any sentiment of unity in the region. The British rule acted both as a unifying and a divisive factor. While it brought the countries of south Asia together under a common empirical umbrella which also laid the seeds of differences between India and Pakistan over the two nation theory between India and Sri Lanka over the nationality of Tamil plantation workers. One significant fact, however is worth noting that is
most cases it was India which perhaps more on account of its geographic situation as also on account of either anti India sentiments spread by the rulers of the neighboring countries in order to divert the attention of their people from their own incompetence to given and solve the multiple problems faced by their countries or on account of the propaganda carried out very calculative by the external powers which gives an impression that India has the designs of establishing its own hegemony in the region thereby generating a fear psychosis in the minds of India’s neighbors. |

FALLEN WOMAN: A COMPARATIVE DISCOURSE ON HARDY’S TESS OF THE D’URBERVILLES AND FOWLES’S THE FRENCH LIEUTENANT’S WOMAN |
Author : Uday Kumar Nandi |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Stranded in the same milieu (the mid-Victorian age), Hardy’s Tess in the novel after the same name, and John Fowles’s Sarah Woodruff in The French Lieutenant’s Woman are branded as ‘fallen woman’, in the eyes of social myopia. Pitted against patriarchal violence represented by Alec and Victorian double standards by Angel, the former though initially gives way to passive acceptance of her fate, eventually puts up a kind of feminist resistance. In contrast the latter, in her tryst with Charles Smithison, her pseudo-progressive ‘new man’ ,
though at one stage of their relationship, is successful in eliciting his marriage proposal, ultimately steps out of the Victorian moral standards of coming to terms with patriarchy through such an institutional practice. A ‘new woman’ that she essentially is,she opts for a single woman status in her existential crisis, and passes from the ‘feminist’ to the ‘female’ with a view to subverting ‘sexual politics’. |

Author : Ms. Sandychris Inchiparamban and Dr. Sudha Pingle |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :AMOOC may be defined as a model for delivering learning content online to any person who wants to take a course with no limit to attendance. In the present study, a MOOC in
Educational Technology was developed and implemented on student teachers. The quasi-experimental pre-test post-test non-equivalent group design was used for this purpose. The sample of the study were student teachers undertaking the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme in teacher training institutions affiliated to the University of Mumbai and located in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. While the experimental group was provided with the MOOC, no treatment was given to the control group. Researcher-constructed Achievement Test in Educational Technology (used as both,pre- and post-test) was used to test the performance of the student teachers after the MOOC was implemented. The data was analyzed using parametric tests namely the t-test and Wolf’s Formula. The findings revealed that the treatment was effective in bringing about an improvement in student teachers’ knowledge and
understanding about educational technology. |

POST(-)COLONIALISM AND INDIAN PHILOSOPHY |
Author : M. P. Terence Samuel |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Postcolonialism started as a movement against the
marginalisation of non-Western literatures; secondly, it
migrated to literary analysis and then to other fields of study,
and got enriched with cultural studies; in its present avatar,
it claims itself to be a textual-political practice against all
forms of discriminations, including the colonial excesses.
Though such phases of development are visible within the
discursive practices of the non-Western intellectuals of the
West, the Indian scenario still oscillates between the first two
phases, without taking up/entering into the third phase of the development of postcolonial studies. Mostly
the post-colonial/postcolonial studies operates within the comfort zones of the ‘traditions’, trying to
reclaim the residues of the ‘native elitist’ traditions buried under the layers of colonial sedimentations. The
process of decolonisation is still understood as the reclamation of the native tradition(s), and not as the
emancipatory transformative politics against the various forms of discrimination, marginalisation and
exclusion. |
