THE QUEST FOR IDENTITY IN PATRICK MODIANO’S LA PLACE DE L’ETOILE: A STUDY |
Author : Prof. Gulab Jha and Arup Sarma |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The notion ‘quest for identity’ may lead the individuals to
follow many avenues: while some individuals might affirm their
‘inherent’ affiliations and traditions, others may remain
within their community of origin and strive to change its ways, or choose to leave their social group and opt for membership in a new one. Identity is a multi-dimensional term which is concerned with the self esteem of an individual, a gender, a community, a class, a race or sex or a nation: real or
imaginary. ‘ Who am I?’ is a foundation of our modern
imaginary that con notes something of the order of ‘myself’, ‘my singularity’, ‘my identity’( individual identity, collective identity, ethnic identity, religious identity ,national
identity, social identity, fictional identity) and this conjures up a host of other synonymous terms or near equivalent terms used to appease our modern angst. |

IMPACT OF AEROBIC EXERCISE ON HUMAN SYSTEMS |
Author : Dr. D. M. Jyoti |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Aerobic exercise is any activity that uses the larger muscles of the body --- like the thigh muscles --- and is sustained for at least ten minutes at a time. It is called aerobic because activity of this type requires the body to take in a higher-than-normal amount of oxygen. The benefits of aerobic exercise (also called cardio or cardiovascular exercise) are many, but most notable are the benefits to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Aerobic exercise uses oxygen when bringing energy to the muscles. It is typically a moderately challenging workout that keeps the heart rate elevated, according to Science Daily. Oxygen sheds glucose and fats while working out to create an energy transporter called adenosine triphosphate. The term "aerobic" implies that. the oxygen necessary to accomplish the work is taken up by the individual during the activity. |

Author : M.Sai Tejas , A. Durga Architha and Dr.SK.Fakruddin Babavali |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Energy is essential in everyone’s part of life in various forms. It is the gift of the nature to mankind. The day-by-day usage of energy increases at a fast rate. Every year the demand of it is going up by 10%. If the rate increases by this ratio then we are going to face an energy crisis in the very near future. Because of the more usage of energy we are not in a position to produce it at the requiring level with the general conventional sources which are non-renewable. For that we have to use nonconventional energy sources which can be renewable. The energies from Solar radiation, wind, flowing water, rotating turbines, biomass.. etc. are all known as nonconventional
energies. As these are all renewable energies we can
use them further more number times which helps to produce the energy at the requiring level. Also all the non-conventional energy sources are available in nature and they are free & costs nothing .It is our responsibility to use them carefully.
However Producing the energy is not only important but also we should have the clear information that how to manage it. At the same time it is also necessary to save energy by different techniques. The present paper describes about the use of non-conventional energy sources, their usage in the “Vertical
Farming” method which is a very good farming technique over all the other techniques. This method involves how to grow high quantity of hygienic food products in less amount of space inside environmentally controlled multi-storied building even during un-seasonal periods/times. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Rolling element bearings are one of the most widely used elements in machines and their failure one of
the most frequent reasons for machine breakdown. Roller
bearing failure is a major factor in failure of rotating machinery.
When the defect arises in bearing there is possibility to shut down the machine. So it is necessary to find out the defects in bearing before they failure. The defect occurs on inner race, outer race, roller, casing here we consider defects on outer race. In this work we change the size of defects on
outer race of bearing. We obtained the signal of vibration by changing Radial load and RPM. The FFT analyzer is used to get vibration signals. Here we validate the result of experimentation with results of finite element analysis by using ansys software. Here we compare the healthy and defective bearing and Results are plotted. It shows that there is continuously increase in amplitude of acceleration with increasing in RPM.

USER SPECIFIC CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT ALGORITHMS IN WLAN |
Author : Prof. A. S. Gundale and Ms. P. M. Akki |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is currentlyamong the
most important technologies for wireless broadband access. The
IEEE 802.11 technology is attractive for its maturity and low
equipment costs. The design of a wireless local area network
(WLAN) has an important issue of determining the optimal placement of access points (APs) and assignment of channels to them. To provide the maximum coverage for WLAN service areas, APs should be installed such that the sum of signal measured at each traffic demand point is maximized.
However, as users connected to an AP share wireless channel
bandwidth with others in the same AP, AP placement should be
carefully decided to maximize the throughput by considering load balancing among APs and channel interference for the user traffic demand. In this paper, a channelassignment
algorithm at the Access Points (APs) of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is proposed in order to minimize the congestion factor at the access points.

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Due to the advancement in the knowledge of the
environment there occurs an explosive increase in human
population scarcity of space, food, problems, threatening depletion of natural resources and socioeconomic

STUDY OF THE FORMABILITY IN CUBIC PEROVSKITES OXIDES |
Author : Amar Singh |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Perovskite is one of the most frequently encountered structures
in solid-state physics, and it accommodates most of the metallic ions in the periodic table with a significant number of different
anions. During the last few years, many experimental and theoretical investigations were devoted to the study of perovskite solids. Many researchers try to design and
synthesize new cubic perovskites used as substrate materials.
Obviously, if new cubic perovskites compounds and their
lattice constants can be predicted, it will be helpful to design new substrate or buffer materials with cubic perovskite structure. The physical and chemical properties of perovskite and perovskiterelated materials are diverse and can be applied in a variety of fields so it is useful to discover the regularities that govern the formation of perovskite-type compounds inorder to guide the exploration of new materials in the huge compositional spaces available. In this chapter we
have studied some structural properties such as lattice constants, formability of a large no of ABO3-type perovskites solids.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT VS INDIAN LAW |
Author : Dr. Vishwas Chouhan |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :“There is no chance of the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on one wing.”-Swami Vivekananda. Women empowerment is a debatable subject and is an important tool to bring about the required social changes in the society and in the mindset of the people. At earlier times they used to get equal status just like men. But they later faced some difficulties during postVedic
and epic ages. Many a time they were treated as slave. From the early twentieth century (national movement) there status have been changing slowly and gradually. In this regard, we may mention the name of the British government. After the independence of India, the constitutional makers and national leaders strongly demanded for equal social position for women. Today we have seen that women have occupied respectable positions all around the world in all walks of life. Yet, they have not been absolutely free from some kind of discrimination and harassment of the society. A few numbers of women have been able to establish their potentialities. Therefore, each and every individual should endeavor to promote the status of
women all around the globe . |

COMPETITION IN THE LIBRARY |
Author : Mrs. Suneeta Raina |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The future of Librarianship can be simply summed up: competition. Librarians must learn to focus on self- promotion and review resources allocation in an increasingly competitative field. To perform this . they should keep the basic principles of librarianship and merge them with the changing face of knowledge, information, and society. The basic skills needed for future librarians are already in place.Organisation, accessibility, and preservation form a solid base of core components for libraries, but increased technology has thrown a wild care into the mix Technology has not changed what libraries do; it
merely changes the way in which we do it. It has allowed such ventures as online cataloging, enhanced resources sharing, and greater ease in obtaining materials. However it has also created a greater avenue for information & greater demand for speed and accuracy. Librarians must find new ways to incorporate their skills and knowledge and apply them to an evolving field. If libraries want to continue to thrive, they must learn to be more competitive. |
