Today is the era of Smart and Green energy. Energy usage monitoring of the huge electrical appliances in buildings has attracted great attentions for sustainable living. Traditional approaches suffers from the high deployment, maintenance and data collection costs. This is due to the requirement of large-scale smart sensor/meter networks.

The health services waste (RSS), popularly categorized as hospital waste, is the object of study of this article. The general objective was to carry out a case study about the Solid Health Waste Management Plan ( PGRSS) of the Maternidade Balbina Mestrinho (MEBM), located in the city of Manaus, in the State of Amazonas. To this end, the following specific objectives were established: identifying the types of waste produced in the MEBM; demonstrate the current functioning, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the PGRSS of MEBM; and propose actions for improvements to the appropriate destination of the RSS according to the legislation to minimize the environmental impacts arising from the segregation of the materials belonging to the groups recommended by ANVISA and CONAMA. About the methodology, this is a case study carried out at the MEBM, which made it possible to achieve the objectives of the work.The results indicate that, MEBM needs to optimize its PGRSS to adequately manage its health waste, avoiding contamination to professionals, customers, the city of Manaus and the environment. As a conclusion, it should be noted that maternity generates residues that present potential health risks by biological, chemical, physical characteristics, among others, but are managed according to their classes, being handled, transported and conditioned according to their characteristics. But, although the PGRSS is implemented in the MEBM, the handling, the final disposal and some actions related to the RSS are still being carried out in an inadequate way, which contributes to negative consequences to the life of the professionals, the patients, the population of Manaus and to the environment.

The Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Brunei Darussalam then joined on 7 January 1984, Viet Nam on 28 July 1995, Lao PDR and Myanmar on 23 July 1997, and Cambodia on 30 April 1999, making up what is today the ten Member States of ASEAN. This paper extends the existing studies in two important ways. First, to the best of our knowledge this is the first study that analyses the Intra Industry trade for the period of 1996 to 2015. Second, it will also help us to understand the potential of commodities value chain between India and ASEAN and possible trade cooperation. The rest of the paper addresses the following aspects of India – ASEAN trade relations with special reference to following countriesnamely-Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. The data on the above aspect has been collected from secondary sources. This paper also studies the 2-digit HS code classification by using Grubell Lloyd index. The most often used method for determining the extent trade was proposed by Grubell Lloyd to calculate intra industry trade.

The present study was explored to find out the relationship between test anxiety and academic achievement of higher secondary level students. Normative survey method was used. A sample of 100 higher secondary level students was selected for the present study. Data was analyzed by t-test and coefficient of correlation. Major finding revealed that there is a negative relationship in between the test anxiety and achievement of the students.

The main objective of the research paper is to the study the socio-economic conditions of migrants of Jukkal mandal in Kamareddy District of Telangana State. Total 60 samples were selected by using simple random sampling method through structured scheduled from Jukkal mandal of Kamareddy district. The data was collected during the period of August month in 2017. The study concluded that highest (22) percent of migrant families’ age is young (25-35). Majority of respondents were (36.7percent) belongs to Scheduled Caste. Those who have studied up to secondary level they were migrated mostly. Most of them have debt between Rs. 30000 to 45000 but their majority of them are earning income per month is (Rs. 5000 to 10000). However, still they have been facing lot of problems at home place and migrated place such as; lack of suitable jobs availability, less working hours, debt, sake of children education purpose and their carrier, marriage burden of him/her dependent, to meet their family expenditure, due to high wage rate available at migrated place.

The present study is undertaken with a view to identify the factors associated with the academic backwardness from the home and school environment point of view. For this purpose, the closed end questionnaire containing factors related home and school environment was developed by the investigator. The data is collected from the 200 girl students using stratified random sampling technique. The sample comprised of 100 government and 100 private school students. The study indicates that there is no difference between the factors of academic backwardness of the Govt and private girl students and the major factors are: family health conditions, home environment, economic problems, fee payment difficulties, traditions, gender discrimination, parents conflicts are the major home factors for the backwardness. Language difficulties, gender discrimination even in schools, lack of women teachers to help them in their problems, lack of flexible school timings etc. are the major school environmental factors for the academic backwardness of the girl students.

Rabindranath Tagore and Swami Vivekananda are the two among the four greatest Indian thinkers on education, the other two being Gandhiji and Sri Aurobindo. The educational philosophy of both of them laid emphasis on the overall development of humanity. In ancient India the system of Gurugrihabas was very common. Tagore in his essay ‘Siksha Samasya’ says that this Gurugrihabas instilled in the students a sense of morality. At the Gurugriha, the students also practised Brahmacharya. The aim of Brahmacharya was to teach the students to lead a disciplined life. Tagore clarifies that Brahmacharya actually provides strength to the character. We should strive to set up an atmosphere like the Tapovan of ancient India and that is exactly what Tagore has done at Santiniketan. Swami Vivekananda believed that the educational system in India to be fruitful should follow the Gurukul system, that is, the Gurugrihabas. He said: “My idea of education is personal contact with the teacher – Guru-griha-vasa. Without the personal life of a teacher there would be no education.” A synthesis of the East and the West would be an ideal educational system. The schools, colleges, and even the only University of the Ramakrishna Mission follow this principle of Gurugrihabas and Brahmacharya. About the synthesis of the East and the West, Swamiji says:“What we want are Western science coupled with Vedanta, Brahmacharya as the guiding motto, and also Shraddha and faith in one’s own self.” Practising Brahmacharya will lead to Shraddha. Shraddha develops humility, submission, and veneration for the teacher and at the same time faith in one’s own self.

In the methodology was used the standards NBR 15557:2014[12]which covers the Requirements and Testing Methods for tires inner tubes and the Brazilian version of the publication EA-4/02[14]- Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement in Calibration, this way it was associated the uncertainty of measuring instruments used in the tests to the results of measurements. In addition to these aforementioned standards, it was used the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025[13]whichnormatizes the general requirements for testing and calibration laboratory competence. The results ensure that manufacturers A and C met all the requirements of NBR 15557: 2014[12]standard, however the B manufacturer did not meet the requirements of items 3 and 6, so it is not compliant.

This paper will mainly investigate the following statements. First, this study will discuss the concept of spiritual liberation and the primary objective of meditation. Secondary, it will explore the methods of Theravada Buddhist meditation. Thirdly, it will describe the major types of Buddhist meditation and the process of insight. Este artigo tem por objetivo identificar o potencial da integração da bicicleta com o transporte público de passageiros por ônibus convencional na cidade de Manasu/AM, por meio de resultados encontrados em um estudo de caso realizado no Terminal de Integração 4 (T4), localizadona área de abrangência dos bairros Cidade Nova, Cidade de Deus e Jorge Teixeira. Utilizando para este fim a técnica de coleta de dados por questionário, onde foram levantadas informações sobre o perfil do usuário e da potencialidade da integração intermodal entr e bi c i c l eta e ônibus. Os r e sultados destetrabalhomostraram a existência de um potencial ao uso integrado da bicicleta com o ônibus, mesmo quando as pesquisas indicaram que os usuários do sistema de transporte público ainda não se sentem atendidos quanto à infraestrutura e segurança pública.

Among the founders of religions the Buddha, if we are permitted to call him the founder of a religion in the popular sense of the term, was the only teacher who did not claim to be other than a human being, pure and simple. For 45 years after attaining Enlightenment, Gotama Buddha preached the Dhamma for the benefit of many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world, for the good, for the advantage, for the benefit and happiness of gods and men. The teachings were systematically and orderly collected by the elder monks including Venerable Mahakassapa three month after the demise of the Buddha. The teachings taught by the Buddha are, in terms of Pitaka, known as Vinaya, Sutta and Abhidhamma. In Buddhism, its aim is to reach Nibbana or to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The main point of the teachings of the Buddha is as follows: "Sabbapapassaakaranam, kusalassaupasampada, Sacittapariyodapana? , etambuddhanasasanam".

The objective of this work is to describe the Cronos WID real time computer monitoring tool that, after its implementation in the productive process of the industries that have productive processes controlled by cyclical means, help in real time the managers to take the correct decisions as the measures to be adopted for the best continuity of their productions. For this, we used the descriptive methodology that outlines the operation, resources and necessary equipment of infrastructure and software so that the system addressed can contribute positively in the generation of useful and reliable information of the whole productive process of the industry in which said real-time production monitoring.

This study is aimed at (i) studying teacher effectiveness in relation to emotional intelligence and (ii) studying the correlation of teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence. To achieve the purpose, Teacher Effectiveness Scale Sujata Mishra (1999) and Emotional Intelligence Scale by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar (2001) were employed. A sample of 400 high school teachers was selected on the basis of random sampling technique. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. The t-value was applied. Results indicate a significant difference between teacher effectiveness among male and female & Govt. and Private high school teachers. Findings on the basis of one way analysis of variance reveal that the group of high school teachers with high emotional intelligence is more effective than the group of teachers with average or low emotional intelligence. There exists positive and significant relationship between teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence among high school teachers.

The co-curricular activities are very important as these activities provide opportunities to the students for developing their individual characteristics, abilities and self confidence. Sense of discipline, tolerance, sociability, emotional maturity, problem solving ability, promotion of democratic values etc. may be promoted through such activities.

The present study is aimed to find out the significant difference in the teacher’s dedication among high school teachers based on gender, graduation and locality. Normative method is used. The sample comprised of 760 high school teachers from Vellore, Kanchipuram, Thiruvanamallai, and Krishnagiri Districts of Tamil Nadu State. Data is analyzed by t-test. Findings showed that there is no significant difference in the teacher’s dedication of high school teachers with respect gender, educational qualification, and locality.

The present study was aimed to study the differences in self-efficacy across the socioeconomic status groups of college students. Total 600 participants were taken from the various colleges from Mysore district. The data was obtained by using Self-Efficacy scale. Results indicates that there is no significant impact of socioeconomic status on student’s self-efficacy and also the results revealed that there is no significant difference between boys and girls in self-efficacy among college students of different socio-economic status groups.

Crop diversification refers to the addition of new crops or cropping systems to agricultural production on a particular farm taking into account the different returns from value-added crops with complementary marketing opportunities. In the past few decades, agricultural sector in the whole state and particularly in the district of Kulgam has witnessed a heavy shift in the cropping pattern from food crops to non-food crops (cash-crops). The horticultural sector has been playing an important role in the State, largely by contributing to the State Economy and turns to be the source of livelihood for nearly thirty-three lakh people, but the paddy production on the other hand has shown an opposite trend. Paddy land is getting changed into the horticultural land, as the farmers find it to be more remunerative. Kulgam, which was once the major producer of rice in the State, and was known to be the “Rice Bowl of Kashmir”, is now among the least producers of rice. Farmers witnessed that sticking only to the water-intensive crops proved to be nonbeneficial and they willingly shifted to the cash crops, like: apple, almond, and walnut. In the present study, the researcher estimates the association between the different socioeconomic variables and the price fixing in case of selling of paddy produce at the household level in Kulgam, one of the districts of Jammu and Kashmir, and Chi Square test has been used to find out the association.

To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014.The Mission Coordinator was given to the be Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) with two Sub-Missions, the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban),which aims to achieve Swachh Bharat by 2019, as a fitting tribute to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which in rural areas shall mean improving the levels of cleanliness in rural areas through Solid and Liquid Waste Management activities and making Gram Panchayats Open Defecation Free (ODF), clean and sanitized. It is Indias biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and school and college students of India participated in this event. The core objectives of the Swachh Bharat Misssion (SBM) are to bring about an improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas, by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation and to accelerate sanitation coverage in rural areas to achieve the vision of Swachh Bharat by 2ndOctober 2019.

Pirarucu is considered the largest freshwater scale fish in the world, measuring approximately 3 meters in total length and weighing more than 200 kg. Due to overexploitation, its fishing in the state of Amazonas is officially prohibited by IBAMA throughout the year, except for the areas of cultivation or management, as has happened in the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve since 1999. Considering its relevance, this research proposes to carry out an economic,social and environmental analysis of the community management of pirarucu (Arapaima spp.) in the Jarauá - RDS Mamirauá sector, from 1999 to 2015. The data used come from a secondary source, collected from annual reports of pirarucu fishery, available at the IBAMA Amazonas Superintendence. Their analysis is based on the descriptive method. The results show that the production of pirarucu in the Jarauá sector increased from 3,000 kg in 1999 to 67,422 kg in 2015.The number of fishermen benefited from pirarucu management increased by 223% in relation to the first year of management. The average gross income of the fishermen had an increase in the order of 767%. The population growth of pirarucu increased by 490%. Thus, the management of pirarucu using the fishery management in Mamirauá RDS represents an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable technique, and is contributing to the conservation of the species and the development of local populations.

A prison is a place of accommodation for the people who have committed a crime and are undergoing trial for the commission of any offense mainly criminal in nature. A prison in India, their administration is a state subject covered by item 4 of the state list in the seventh schedule of the Constitution of India. The management and administration of prisons purely come under the authority of state Government along with the Prisoners Act 1894 and also the Prison Manuals of the concerned State Government. We all know that crime rate in India is increasing at a rapid pace. But there are no adequate facilities in various prisons in our country to accommodate such person at least by providing facilities for a decent living inside the prisons. Even though there are certain rules and guidelines regarding prison system and administration, many of them are not enforced properly due to the prevailing condition of prisons in India. The present article attempts to highlight the Problems of prison system in India.

The Peri-urban interface is less understood and often characterized by marginalization and environmental degradation. Understanding of the emerging peri-urban situation well is necessary to address the current and emerging challenges. The space into which the town extends as the process of dispersion is only partly integrated into the growing urban complex. Not all residents living in the fringe are socially and economically assimilated.

Wireless Sensor Networks can be used in several applications such as monitoring and study of thermal comfort in indoor environment. However, since the sensors nodes are battery powered, the cost of network maintenance can quickly exceed the cost of whole monitoring system. This work proposes and evaluates a routing protocol that take into account not only localization of sensor nodes but also the monitored variables, in this case, temperature and relative humidity to formation of clusters and selection of cluster heads. The k-means algorithm was used to group the correlated sensors nodes. Results show that the proposed scheme has a performance 50% higher than the state-of-the-art algorithms in relation to residual energy and network lifetime.

Besant started Home Role League in September 1916, which marked with the commencement of a political movement involving different heterogeneous social groups. The involvement of the student community of Tamilnadu in the Movement was spontaneous and intensive. This paper tries to explore the contribution of students towards the spread and growth of the Home Rule Movement in Tamil Nadu. This research paper is constructed availing primary archival data collected at Tamil Nadu Archives, Chennai and the primary, this data was supplemented by secondary literature.

Em face disso, este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar como como os permissionários e os clientes avaliam a qualidade dos serviços e propor um modelo baseado na escala SERVQUAL, para valiação do nível de qualidade percebida dos serviços em uma galeria popular na cidade de Manaus, AM. Uma vez que a gestão da qualidade em serviços cada vez mais vem se tornando uma das áreas mais significativas em pesquisa da Engenharia de Produção. No qual o setor de serviços tem assumido importante papel para o desenvolvimento da economia, uma vez que está inserido num ambiente de negócios altamente competitivo. Isto se deve ao nítido aumento do setor, passando a ocupar a principal posição na geração de empregos formais no país, superando até as indústrias, gerando ocupação e renda. A metodologia de pesquisa quanto a natureza será uma pesquisa aplicada; quanto aos objetivos a pesquisa será descritiva; quanto a abordagem a pesquisa será quantitativa e, quanto aos procedimentos, a pesquisa será um estudo de caso. Para a coleta de dados será feita entrevista por meio da aplicação dos questionários estruturados em 18 questões com opções de resposta utilizando a escala Likert eperguntas divididas em 05 dimensões: Tangibilidade, Confiabilidade, Sensibilidade, Segurança e Empatia, aplicados no modelo SERVQUAL.

The objective of this study was to analyze the socioeconomic and environmental aspects of farmers of the Settlement Project Calmaria II, considering all the problems that hinder and compromise the sustainability of family agriculture in relation to land use, evaluating the capacity to generate income, educational levels and the relationship with the environment, regarding: the protection of forest cover and areas preservation. The results of these analyzes were based on secondary and primary data, on-site observations and satellite images. It was observed that the majority of the settlers are in adult age, that is, people who are in the range of 18 to 60 years. The population of children and adolescents occupy the second settling extract and thirdly the elderly. In the area of the settlement there are 2 municipal schools, all of elementary school.

Thermo excess acoustical parameters such as excess internal Pressure(pE ), excess enthalpy (HE) and excess free volume (Vf E ) have been measured from experimentally measured values of densities(?),ultrasonic velocities(u) and viscosities(?) in binary liquid mixtures containing aniline with toluene at temperatures T=(303.15, 308.15,313.15 and 318.15)K. These results are fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation.These results have been explained on the basis of intermolecular interactions in liquid mixtures.
