The practice of ragging entered into India in the guise of an ‘initial ritual’ in higher education institutions, where professional courses are conducted. Ragging involves abuse, humiliation or harassment of juniors by their seniors in professional colleges. Nearly in the last forty years, ragging has evolved as an unfair act of seniors causing physical, mental, psychological and sexual harassment to their juniors and in extreme case it ended with murder or suicide of the juniors. Tamil Nadu became the epicenter of this dangerous act of ragging in professional colleges during the 1990’s, and the Government of Tamil Nadu was the first one in the country to initiate legal actions against the practice of ragging in 1997. In spite of these stringent measures initiated by educational agencies and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to stop ragging in educational institutions, the evil still persist in educational campuses Tamil Nadu. The present study was conducted to know the relationship between the prevalence of different forms of ragging and the psychosocial issues causing ragging in professional colleges in Tamil Nadu by conducting an empirical study. A sample of 457 professional college students was selected for the study. Data was analyzed by ‘r’ value. Result indicated that the correlation between the overall ragging and overall psychosocial issues. Correlation also noticed between the overall ragging and overall psychosocial issues in the case of male students. In the case of female students and generation ranking no correlation is found between the overall ragging and overall psychosocial issues.

Parenting style varies from working mothers to non-working mothers.This study focuses on the parenting of working and non-working mothers on their children. The total number of samples estimated for the study is 400 samples that is further again classified into 100 working mothers and their children and 100 non-working mothers and their children through Purposive sampling technique. Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (APQ) by Frick K (1991) was used for the study. The Mean, Standard deviation and One- way ANOVA were used for the computation of statistical analysis. No significant difference was found between the parenting of working and non-working mothers on their children. But there is a significant difference in the dimension Punishment of 0.024.The working mother’s children mean value is higher than the other groups.

This assessment study assists in measuring the learning quotient for the learners and the way teachers impart tutoring in schools. Therefore, the need is to prepare a fruitful evaluative study in order to develop the way of learning, infusing the aspect of confidence and improved comprehension over the syllabus taught on the part of a learner. Hence, the infusion of CCE is perceived as the perfect initiative for better evaluation of learners. In this aspect, the present study analyse the attitude and knowledge towards the implementation of CCE in CBSE schools of selected schools in Kancheepuram District.

The present study has been conducted among 150higher secondary school students in Chennai to study the awareness of digital safety measures. The researcher used a self-constructed tool for data collection. Data was analysed by t-test. Findings showed that there is a positive relationship between awareness of digital safety measures and real-life safety measures among higher secondary school students. Results also indicated that there is a significant difference in the awareness of digital safety measures with respect to gender, parents’ income, and receiving guidelines for online behaviour from parents and teachers.However there is no significant difference in the awareness of digital safety measures with respect to parents’ qualification, number of siblings, number of social media used and time spent on social media sites and apps.

This issue becomes more glaring in the case of tribals who bear the brunt of acquisition and large scale displacement for infrastructure projects by the government. Estimates show that 90 percent of the coal reserves are in tribal or forest areas. A 2005 National Advisory Paper titled ‘Tribal Welfare and Development’ notes that in the last 50 years over 9 million tribals were displaced of which 6 million are yet to get compensation, leave alone R&R.

Roller bearing failure is a major factor in failure of rotating machinery. When the defect arises in bearing there is possibility to shut down the machine. So it is necessary to find out the defects in bearing before they failure. The defect occurs on inner race, outer race, roller, casing here we consider defects on outer race. In this work we change the size of defects on outer race of bearing. We obtained the signal of vibration by changing Radial load and RPM. The FFT analyzer is used to get vibration signals. Here we validate the result of experimentation with results of finite element analysis by using ansys software. Here we compare the healthy and defective bearing and Results are plotted. It shows that there is continuously increase in amplitude of acceleration with increasing in RPM.

For the analysis purpose the researcher approach the 480 customers from 25 retail shops by adopting purposive stratified random sampling method from September 2016 to March 2017. The researched uses simple percentage and 5 point liker-scale techniques to analyse the data which is collected from the respective respondents. The purpose of the study is to study the EFFECT OF ADJUSTMENT AND STUDY HABITS ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF RURAL AND URBAN SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. In the present study Descriptive Survey method was employed. Total 200 Secondary School Students with stratified random sampling technique was used. There is a positive and significant relationship between academic achievement and adjustment and study habits of IX standard students respect of their adjustment and academic achievement. However, urban and rural students do not differ significantly in respect of their study habits. The mean scores of urban students is greater than the rural students in all the four variables.

The present study has been designed to study the Emotional Intelligence among Sr. Sec. School Students in relation to their Gender and Type of School. For this purpose a sample of 640 Sr. Sec. School Students, selected randomly from senior secondary schools of Haryana state. All the secondary school students in Haryana State govt /privateschools, as well as male/female students made up the population of the study. Data was collected by Self developed tool of Emotional Intelligence and adjustment scale by A. K. P. Sinha and R. P. Singh. The result revealed that there is significant difference in emotional intelligence and adjustment of senior secondary school students with respect to nature of the school and there is no significant difference in emotional intelligence and adjustment of senior secondary school students with respect to gender. Significant correlation was found between emotional intelligence and adjustment among Sr. Sec. School Students.

Profitability is a measure of efficiency and control. It indicates the efficiency or effectiveness with which the operations of the business are carried on. Measuring profitability is the most important measure of the success of the business. If a business is not profitable it cannot survive. On the other hand if a business is highly profitable it has the ability to reward its owners with a large return on their investment. Increasing profitability is one of the most important tasks of the business managers. The potential changes can be analyzed with a support of income statement and balance sheet. Financial ratios are employed to measure the profitability and liquidity of banks; in addition Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test the significance differences of profitability means among the Indian and Jordanian private sector banks under study.The study found that there is significance difference among the mean value of Return on Net worth and Return on Assets and there is no significance difference among the mean value of NPA and CDR of Indian and Jordanian private sector banks under study.

The present study aimed at finding out the occupational stress of the secondary school teachers. Descriptive survey research was used. The sample consisted of 300 secondary school teachers. Occupational Stress Scale developed by Meenakshi Sharma and Satvinder Kaur (2014) was used for data collection. Data was analyzed by t-test. Results indicated that moderate amount of stress was found among the secondary school teachers.

The purpose of the study was assessing the determinants of risky sexual behavior in line with social media utilization in the school of informatics, Hawassa University. In doing so, descriptive cross-sectional research design was employed. Data were produced from a total of 291 participants from school of informatics, of which 204 them were males and the remaining 87 females.
