| | https://ijsshmr.com/v3i6/8.php | Author : Kathleen Mae E. Villanueva, Darwin D. Ofrin | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The study by Trajkovic et al. (2023) underscores the positive impact of physical activity on psychological well-being, particularly emphasizing its influence on socio-emotional capabilities, life satisfaction, positive emotions, self-worth, confidence, and physical competence. This study extends this understanding by investigating the relationship between different physical activity domains and the psychological well-being of secondary education teachers at Alaminos Integrated National High School in Alaminos, Laguna. Utilizing descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment Correlation, the study found that most respondents were aged between 33 and 43, with a notable representation of females. Teachers demonstrated knowledge of various physical activities relevant to their occupation and engaged in activities related to transportation, recognizing the diverse benefits of leisure time and domestic activities on overall well-being. The study examines the relationship between domains of physical activity and psychological well-being, revealing notable correlations across various aspects. In the occupational domain, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and self-acceptance show significant correlations except for personal growth, while transportation displays a strong and significant relationship with all components of psychological well-being. Similarly, leisure time exhibits a strong correlation with environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relationships, purpose in life, and self-acceptance, but not with autonomy. Likewise, the domestic domain exhibits a strong and significant relationship with all components of psychological well-being. | | Punishment of Rape Perpetrators from Qonun Jinayats Perspective (Decision No. 2/JN/2022/MS-Sat Jo. Decision No. 3/JN/2023/MS. Aceh and Decision No. 3/JN/2019/MS.Skm) | Author : Dwi Irmayanti, Ainul Azizah, Al Khanif | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Qanun is a policy of the Aceh government which has special privileges in implementing special autonomy based on Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning Aceh Government which mandates the application of Islamic law to the entire region of Nangroe Aceh Darussalam Province. However, these provisions are very different from the provisions of the criminal law that applies in Indonesia, especially in imposing criminal sanctions in rape cases. This thesis research will examine the comparison of criminal sanctions for perpetrators of the crime of rape according to Qanun Jinayat and Criminal Code No. 1 of 1946, criminal sentences in case decision No. 2/JN/2022/MS-Sat Jo. Decision No. 3/JN/2023/MS. Aceh and Decision no. 3/JN/2019/MS. The SKM is appropriate based on the objectives of punishment, the policy of formulating punishment for perpetrators of the crime of rape based on Qanun Jinayat in the future. The type of research used in this thesis research is doctrial legal research using a statutory approach, conceptual approach and case approach. Results of the research: The criminal sanctions imposed between cases of criminal acts of rape in the Criminal Code and criminal acts of rape in the Qanun Jinayat are very different. What both the Criminal Code and the Aceh Qanun have in common is that they both regulate that rape occurs outside of marriage, then both contain threats to anyone (anyone, everyone) meaning that there are sanctions from both laws. Criminal Imposition in Case Decision No. 2/JN/2022/MS-Sat Jo. Decision No. 3/JN/2023/MS. Aceh and Decision no. 3/JN/2019/MS. Skm is not in accordance with the purpose of punishment. The implementation of caning punishment in increasing public legal awareness is still considered not optimal. It is hoped that the competent institutions, namely the legislative body, in drafting the Aceh Qanun Jinayat, especially the Jarimah for sexual violence, can add a category for Jarimah based on the criteria for victims. |

Parikh | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study examines the financial health and the risk of financial statement fraud among five major pharmaceutical companies—Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Lupin Limited, Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Dr. Reddys Laboratories, and Cipla Limited—over the period from 2019 to 2023. Financial statements are crucial documents that provide insights into a companys financial performance and position. However, they can be susceptible to manipulation, leading to financial fraud. The research utilizes the Altman Z-score to assess financial stability and the Beneish M-score to detect the likelihood of financial manipulation. Findings indicate that these companies generally exhibit strong financial health, with Altman Z-scores consistently categorizing them in the "Safe" zone, suggesting a low risk of bankruptcy. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. showed significant financial improvement throughout the period, while Lupin Limited experienced a brief dip into the "Gray" zone in 2022 before recovering. Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Dr. Reddys Laboratories, and Cipla Limited demonstrated remarkable stability, with Cipla Limited maintaining consistently high Z-scores. The Beneish M-score analysis indicated a low risk of earnings manipulation for most companies, though Lupin Limited showed occasional high-risk years. | | Cloze Reading Strategy as Enrichment of Reading Comprehension Skills among Grade 5 Learners | Author : Rio Marc M. Montifar, Cecilia Q. Velasco | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The study aimed to enhance the reading comprehension skills of Grade Five pupils using Cloze Reading. The study used one group pre-test and post-test research design under pre-experimental. One section of Grade Five Pupils, composed of forty-two(42) pupils from Talisay Elementary School, contributed to the study. In gathering data, a modified pre-test and post-test by the researcher, depending on the learning needs and the desired outcome of the study, were the tools used. It comprises four variables: Sequencing of Events, Inferring, Noting Details and Identifying the Main Idea. The results of the pre-test and post-test scores of the respondents were manifested using figures for frequency, standard deviation, and mean percentage. To determine the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the respondents on reading comprehension, the hypothesis was unveiled through a 2-tailed t-test, and the hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed significant findings that of the 42 respondents, all of them have improved reading comprehension, as shown in the results. The pretest showed that most respondents were categorized in the “Satisfactory” level and below in reading comprehension skills. In the post-test, it was reflected that all the respondents improved after utilizing the Cloze Reading. This is apparent in the increased number of learners above a satisfactory level. In addition, 100% of the respondents were leveled up to very satisfactory and outstanding. Nevertheless, all the respondents had positive movement as they improved their reading comprehension skills. The difference between the pre-test and post-test before and after the implementation of Cloze Reading is significant, as it is measured at 0.05. It implies a SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE between the pre-test and post-test results. |
