So, we need to protect and nurture those things, thats our drawing card with people who live here and what draws them to visit here from all over the world, Overholtzer said.However, Overholtzer said warning signs exist in the city, especially with individuals and families struggling and with a housing crisis.Stauntons economy is good, according to Overholtzer, but diversification would strengthen the citys economy. Light industry and technology jobs would provide higher salaries and encourage Stauntons youth to stay in the Valley.
