SPORTS News:Los Alamos NJROTC defeated Douglas MacArthur AJROTC 1508 to 1266 last week in the National Air Rifle League.With the win, Los Alamos NJROTC is in second place in their Division with a 1-0 record. Los Alamos NJROTC was led by Jacob Torrez who shot a 381. The remaining contributing members were Holly Hayes, Samantha Miller and Stephanie Nielsen. The remaining contributing members were Nathan Robertson, Madison Wall and Jaidon Hernnadez. Granbury MCJROTC has a 1-0 record. Douglas MacArthur AJROTC will compete against Concordia Lutheran AJROTC from Ft. Wayne, Ind. Concordia Lutheran AJROTC has a 0-1 record.These two teams are competing in the JROTC Precision Champions Division of the Orion National Air Rifle League. Sponsored by the Orion Scoring System, the league is a national team league for high school teams and junior rifle clubs. The Champions Division is the most difficult division in the league. The league has two parts. An eight week round-robin regular season going on now.
