COMMUNITY News:The Hill Stompers, Los Alamoss unique, wacky, festive, quirky adult marching band, turns 21 years old this fall.To celebrate, they are doing a pub crawl through downtown Los Alamos Saturday, Sept. 18. The fun begins at 4 p.m. at Pajarito Brewpub and Grill. The band then travels to Smiths at 5 p.m., Boese Bros. Brewpub at 6 p.m., capping off the crawl at 7 p.m. at Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op in Central Park Square. Enjoy great music, drink a craft beer, and party with the Hill Stompers. All venues are family-friendly!Jeff and Kandice Favorite started the Hill Stompers in the fall of 2000 as a spin-off of the Seed Feed Marching Abominable of Atlanta, Ga. The Hill Stomperss first public performance was the Holiday Lights Parade in December 2000. Since then, the band has played parades and [url=https://www.cup-stanley.fr]stanley france[/url] events all over northern New Mexico as well as Durango and Telluride, Colo., and Boston, [url=https://www.cups-stanley-cups.us]stanley website[/url] Mass.This year will be the fourth occurrence of the Los Alamos pub crawl. Community Development Department Director鈥婸aul Andrus presents his proposed budget during the budget hearings Monday night in Council Chambers. The departments budget totals $1,819,685. Councilor Rick Reiss said the department had undergone a cultural shift and he described the shift as almost being historic.It seems, he added, that Los Alamos has turned a corner in becoming homeowner, business owner and contractor friendly. Councilor James Chrobocinskisaid, You and your staff have done an amazing job turning this department around. The Council voted 7-0 to tentatively approve the proposed budget and toadd $21,000 for software training.
