| Journal Description : | REurEDC is a journal on Science Education very well respected in all the Spanish (even the Portuguese) speaking community, as it is reflected by the number of readers and authors, as well as by their growing impact in the publications of the area. The articles published in REurEDC are aimed to cover a broad spectrum of the educational system, ranging from kindergarten to university, with especial attention to those forms of science education that are not implemented through a formal or academic way. The Journal has two main goals, namely: a) Contributing to improve education through richer and more stimulating teaching, in order to stimulate the interest and appreciation of science. b) Building a bridge between science learning both inside and outside the classroom, incorporating contributions from science teaching into the social enterprise of scientific literacy and popularization, and vice versa. REurEDC is addressed to the broad Spanish-speaking community of Science Teachers (Spain as well as Central and South America) with interest in improving their effectiveness in the Teaching-Learning process. Therefore the articles published in REurEDC cover from research in teaching and learning, to essays on new methodologies, or proposals of estimulating experiments, with incursions in historical or sociological approaches to Science Education. |
