| Journal Description : | Texto Livre: Linguagem e Tecnologia is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal published continuously since 2008. It is sponsored by the School of Letters of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). Texto Livre welcomes submissions of articles, article translations, reviews and essays on the relationship between languages and digital media. Its mission is to promote scientific production in the field of language studies, particularly regarding the analysis, practice and teaching of textual production through free and new open technologies. The journal aims to promote studies on documentation and dissemination of free and open software, providing researchers with an opportunity to share their results and contribute to scientific progress in the area. Topics of interest also include: intertextuality, usability, computer use in the classroom, free culture, digital inclusion, digital literacy, the impact of technology in translation production, dissemination of free software, and other topics related to language and technology. The journal accepts manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French. Texto Livre is an academic publication intended for researchers as well as non-academic audiences interested in critical approaches to the topics addressed by the journal. |
