| Journal Description : | The Eurasian Journal of Forest Science welcomes research from across the Europe and Asia continents. Recent human-induced changes, such as population growth and global warming, have placed tremendous pressure on natural resources among which forests have been the most affected. Forests, being a long-lived vegetation cover, provide a variety of ecological and ecosystem functions, such as buffering of pollutants, regulation of hydrological cycles, and maintenance of biodiversity. However, the mechanisms responsible for these functions and related services, as well as their responses to human activities are largely unknown. The Eurasian Journal of Forest Science will publish findings from research conducted in European and Asian countries by authors from anywhere in the world. The essential target of the journal is to provide a platform for the distribution of research papers representing the diversity of research topics and forest types found across Eurasia. These may include for example studies of the genetics, physiology, biogeography, and landscape ecology of trees as well as other life forms, e.g., invertebrates, fungi, understory plants, found within forests. Authors are invited to bring about new approaches to the current problems of forest science. The submitted papers are expected to contain good quality graphs and illustrations, provide a well-organized presentation of subject matter, and render a good linkage between the aim, results and conclusion. |
