Journal Description : | he Editorial Committee of the Journal will meet periodically to pre-select which articles will appear in each issue.
The process of evaluation starts with the selection of articles which fulfill APA norms and whose topics are current, original and of good quality. Following this, “judges,” who must be expert in the topic developed in each article, and who are recognized professionals, will be chosen. It goes without saying that the process will respect anonymity; that is, a double-blind system. Naturally, The Journal’s Committee will give priority to external peers in order to guarantee an objective evaluation. The evaluator peer will receives a ‘guide of articles evaluation as well as a ´peer evaluation format´ through which s(he) can indicate a response of (accepted, accepted with modifications or rejected). In general, the peer will have fifteen working days to evaluate the article assigned.
If there is controversy regarding evaluation results, the editor will examine the possibility of sending the article to another judge, or the Editorial Committee will reevaluates it in detail. The purpose of doing this is to make a final judgment and to determine if the article will or will not be published.
The result of this process will be to demonstrate that, through an approved and signed format, an academic judgment and a pertinent editorial evaluation were carried out. After the evaluation phase, the article is returned to the author in order for the author to make the modifications suggested. At completion, the author must resend the material to the Editorial Committee. Of course, the author can decide that he or she does not accept the suggested modifications and withdraw the article from publication. The withdrawal of the article will be effective at the time the author receives confirmation, in writing, by The Journal editors. However, if the author wishes to continue with the editorial process, the author must express his or her acceptance in writing, and carry out the required modifications. To finish this process, the author must send the article, with modifications, to The Journal editorial committee with a letter of transference of royalty. |
