Revista de Género e Igualdad is an annual scientific publication of the Publications Service of the University of Murcia, edited by Editum (Ediciones de la Universidad de Murcia). It aims to achieve equality between women and men, the empowerment of women and girls, and the elimination of all types of violence against them.
The priority axes are related to: women's and girls' access to quality education, health, economic resources, political and citizen participation, equality in decision-making, economic independence, leadership and decision-making in all areas of life; the same opportunities as men in employment and salary; dignity, integrity and the elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls.
It is addressed to all those interested in these issues, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UN Women guidelines, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Strategy for Gender Equality 2020-2025 (EU), and current Spanish legislation.
iQual. Revista de Género e Igualdad is an open, multidisciplinary, transversal, plural and international electronic publication. Its electronic format allows it to reach a wide audience. The commitment is that this journal can promote a fairer and more egalitarian society.
Original research, theoretical review, applied, methodological and practical research articles are accepted.
The manuscript selection and evaluation system used is double-blind peer review. Each article received is evaluated by two experts, external to the editorial team. If there is no agreement, it will be sent to a third. Anonymity is guaranteed to the parties.
The review has two phases: the first, on format and style (APA, expressions, citations, references, etc.), will be carried out by members of the Editorial Board; the second will be the scientific peer review. The Editorial Board will decide on the publication of the papers according to the evaluation reports.
The decision on publication will not exceed twelve months. Authors of articles accepted for publication may be required to submit proofs for printing, which must be returned within 1 month. Substantial changes in the proofs will not be allowed, being limited to the correction of errors with respect to the accepted version. |
