Jurnal Ilmiah VISI is dedicated to all practitioners, academics, researchers, and education observers. This journal contains research results, literature / literature studies, empirical studies, case studies, evaluations, policy studies, current education issues, or book reviews, which are published twice a year (Juni and December).
This journal provides immediate open access to content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Jurnal Ilmiah VISI contained results of the research which focused about early childhood education and society education from practitioners, academics, researchers, and education observers.
This journal publishes all its articles in full open access format. The scientific community and the general public have, for free, unlimited and immediate access to all content published in Jurnal Ilmiah VISI as soon as it is published on the Internet. This means that Jurnal Ilmiah VISI does not receive any income from selling subscriptions to print or view online versions of its journals or from charging "pay-per-view" fees. Submission to this journal is free of charge.

Jurnal Ilmiah VISI was published on June 2006 by Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Jakarta in cooperation with Direktorat Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan Pendidikan Non Formal, which later changed the name to Direktorat Pembinaan Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Nonformal dan Informal renamed for the second time to Direktorat Pembinaan Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dan Pendidikan Masyarakat.
