Journal Description : | The Turkish Journal of Biodiversity (Turk J Biod), founded in 2018, is a double blind peer-reviewed international journal. It is published electronically, 2 times a year (to be issued in February and September) by the Ali Nihat Gökyigit Botanical Garden Aplication and Research Center of Artvin Coruh University in collaboration with ULAKBIM. It publishes full-length original research papers for a broad range of international scientists.
Authors can prepare and submit their manuscripts for the review process in Turkish or English. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the sample article format.
Review process: When a manuscript is received by the Editor, he/she will have it reviewed by at least two peers qualified to evaluate the manuscript. The editor normally asks the reviewers to complete the review within 15 days. However, the reviewing process may take longer, depending on the length of the manuscript and reviewers' responses.
Page charge: There is no mandatory page charge for submission, publishing and processing in Turk J Biod.
Publication Frequency: The The Turkish Journal of Biodiversity is a biannual (to be issued in February and September) journal.
Open Access Policy: This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Turkish Journal of Biodiversity is a double blind peer-reviewed, journal for rapid publication of high quality papers on any aspect of systematic botany and zoology, with a preference for large taxonomic works such as monographs, floras, faunas, both living and fossil, revisions and evolutionary studies and descriptions of new taxa. All types of taxonomic papers are considered, including theories and methods of systematics and phylogeny, taxonomic monographs, history of botanical explorations,revisions and reviews, catalogues/checklists, biographies and bibliographies, identification guides, analysis of characters, phylogenetic studies and phytogeography, phylogenetic relationships and zoogeographical patterns of distribution, descriptions of taxa, typification and nomenclature.
The scope of the journal covers the following thematic categories: agronomy, horticulture, plant breeding, plant protection, plant molecular biology and biotechnology, biodiversity, genetics, evolution, systematics, structure, function, development, conservation biology, biogeography, paleobotany, ontogeny, functional morphology, ecology, reproductive biology, and pollination biology, forestry, forest industry products entomology, zoology, pathology, forest resources conservation, forest health monitoring and assessment, forest fire, wood science and technology, soil science and plant nutrition, bionergy and energy crops, irrigation, agricultural technologies, plant-based food science and technology, tree physiology, forest biomass, carbon, and bioenergy, biotechnology and molecular biology, genetics and tree breeding, silviculture, forest management, Landscape Architecture, and all plant and animal groups and allied organisms (algae, fungi, and lichens). |
