The journal aims to motivate and enhance the medical research and help to develop medical information management. It serves medical researchers, educators and practitioners who are interested in theoretical or applied aspects of medicine. It accepts original papers, review articles, short communications, letters to the Editor, and case reports in a broad range of areas including basic science and medicine. This Journal uses IRIS web Policy for digital archiving. This Journal utilizes digital archive via Eprint Repository to guarantee long-term digital preservation and restoration.
Plagiarism:
"New Information System of Iranian Medical Research" with the acronym (NOPA) with the aim of effective and ethical use of research, quantitative and qualitative development, management and optimal guidance of health system research, increasing researchers' access to information resources, improving the visibility of research results and monitoring, distribution and promotion of knowledge produced by medical research have been designed and implemented in the Deputy of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in Iran. This system is a collection of research information methods and systems, including a Paper Plagiarism Checker. We utilize this system to detect plagiarism and similarity in texts.

Scope of Journal:
The “Studies in Medical Sciences” has been published as a Monthly periodical by Urmia University of Medical Sciences since 1990. It received its official scientific-research rank in 2002.. It accepts Original , Review , Short Communications, Letters to the Editor and Case Reports papers covering all aspects of Basic and Clinical Sciences in Medicine .
