| Journal Description : | Molecular and Biochemical Diagnosis (MBD) has been started in 2014 by the support of Tarbiat Modares University after getting appropriate permissions from the ministry of ‘Culture and Islamic Guidance and , ‘Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’ and ‘Ministry of Health, treatment and Medical Education’.
This editorial board of this journal is consisted on nationally and internationally recognized professors and scientists working in different areas of life science, biomedical and medical research. This title is aimed to increase the communication among the medical practitioners, professional laboratory personnel and researchers working for development of new diagnostic technologies. Hence MBD accepts research articles on with diagnostic approach of various diseases and disorders. The main objective of this title is to fill the gap between medical laboratory diagnostics and medical practice.
As you know Iran is among the developing countries with about 78 million populations having young and enthusiastic researcher in this field which need to share their finding with the international community. This journal provides this opportunity for the young scientists to publish the results of their findings in English language. The editorial board is also committed to help your authors with free services such as language editing. In addition to the Iranian authors, scientist from Middle East and Asian countries showed interest to send their articles for publication in MBD.
Most of the editorial work including reviewing process in volunteering activities carried out free of charge and the production of the journal (MBD) has been provided by the Press Department of Tarbiat Modares University. Therefore there no publication charges for the authors and the cost of publication of this journal is very low compared to similar titles published elsewhere.
The editors tried to observe the international standard for publishing this title. However, introduction and approval of MBD through international organizations can help this title by different ways:
1- To encourage scientist from different countries to submit their articles to this new journal. This will lower the load of articles submitted to limited journals in this field published by international publishers.
2- To help the editors to have better selection of high quality articles, when the number of incoming articles is increased.
3- Indexing of this title can help the editors to increase the frequency of publication and update the issues scheduled for future.
Regarding my experience as the Editor-in Chief, I have to inform you that I have been the member of the editorial board of Clinical Biochemistry journal (Elsevier) since 2010. I have been responsible of successful publication of Iranian Journal of Biotechnology for more than a decade. I am now a regular reviewer of prestigious journals such and Toxicology in vitro, Toxicology letters etc.
