The sample is deliberate of 60 asthmatic children 5-14 years old, the variables were age, sex, asthma antecedents, home environment and psychological family, as well as the existence of frequent breathing infections before two years of age. The risk factors such as masculine sex, asthma antecedents, alterations in the family operation, exhibition to the dust and to suffer frequent breathing infections before the 2 years influences in the appearance of the asthma in the investigated children. |

The universe was of 206 patients and the sample (110) was selected through a simple random sampling. The data recolected were processed by the statistical package SPSS. V.13 The variables studied were: sex, quantity of sessions realised, adverse reactions, clinical symptoms before and after the auricuar therapy, occupation and clinical evaluation. The feminine sex prevailed. In the sessions of treatment more than the half needed 14 days, almost the whole of the patients did not present reactions. When culminating the treatment the patients manifested a favorable evolution. The auricular therapy contributed to attain effectiveness in the treatment of the anxious depressive syndrome, bringing profit so much to the health of the individual like social and economic. |

Objective: to characterize the thyroid cancer in the Service of General Surgery of the Hospital Dr. Agostinho Neto during the years 2012-2016. Method: A descriptive, prospective and longitudinal study was made. The following variables were approached: age; sex; topography, size, evolutionary stage and histological type of the tumor; injure associate; moment of choice of the total tiroidectomy and time for the choice of carrying out it and postoperative complications. Results: the patients were women mainly; they had age between 29 and 39 years; it was affected more the left lobe of the gland and the tumor was smaller than 2 cm; it was more frequent the tumor papilar; the most associate lesion was the goiter multinodular. The biggest proportion in the patient one was in the stage II of the cancer, and survived2 to 5 years. All they were carried out tiroidectomy that decided from the preoperative consultation in 53.0%. 23.5% of the patients presented some complication. Conclusions: It is revealed the importance of the precocious diagnosis and the decision of the total tiroidectomy from the preoperative consultation. |

The universe of study was of 103 adolescents positive to the diagnostic of the above-mentioned pathology. The variables investigated were age, civil state and complications as: sepsis, bleedings, incomplete abortion and perforation. The group of age more affected was the one of 15 to 19 years. The singles had greater predominance and the most frequent complications was the sepsis. The induced abortion in the adolescence is a problem of health. |

The determinations of the reference values of the individuals according to sex were evaluated and the interval of E.P.B "Carlos J Finlay" was used. The universe consisted of 60 patients and 48 providers (doctors). Predominantly the male sex with 32 people for 53 %, the most significant age group was the one of over 30 years, presenting values of uric acid within the reference intervals in 48 patients, however, these reflected symptoms of gout, related with inadequate educational work and the low level of cognition and interpretation of the values of regulated intervals for the diagnosis of gout by providers. |

Some of the studied variables are: maternal age, scholarship, occupation, time of the running of the milk, treatment cycle, quantity of applications and antecedents that the LME modifies. It was achieved that the women treated with the technique of local heat to get quick running of the milk, only 4 women needed the use of other techniques of MNT.

The universe consisted of 75 infants born in the period. Variables were studied: maternal age, duration of breastfeeding, reason for abandoning breastfeeding, nutritional assessment, and main diseases presented by infants. The following results were obtained: the maternal age range from 20 to 30 years. The reason for neglecting breastfeeding referred to more frequently was to have little milk. Infants below the third percentile performed early weaning. The most frequent disease in infants was acute diarrheal disease. |

Objective: Implement the notification of adverse effects by patients to classify and identify these effects that appear in the practical usual clinic (In the system of Cuban health works with the method of spontaneous notification by the sanitary professionals, however, does not exist a program where the patients notify his adverse effects of direct form. Method: observational and transversal descriptive study, that used the method of Parmacovigilance spontaneous notification of suspicious of adverse reactions in the municipal main pharmacies of the province of Guantánamo to implement a Program of Notification of Adverse Effects to Medicines by Patients. It designed a planilla of collected of data that was to disposal of the patients in the 10 main pharmacies municipal of the province. Results: report of adverse effects were more frequent in the patients of 15 to 39 years of age and feminine sex. The farmacological groups that predominated were the antimicrobic, AINES and the vaccines, being the most frequent medicines the vaccine antigripal, the cefalexina and the captopril. The systems of organs more affected were digestive, skin and central nervous system. The slight adverse effects, likely and frequent Predominated. Conclusions: The implementation of a program of report of adverse effects by the patients is feasible and provides important data to the sanitary system. |

The universe was constituted by 76 residents, who were surveyed, with the objective of obtaining a diagnosis on the subject and drawing up work strategies to eliminate, identified deficiencies. Among the results was found: greater the number of female residents, in the group of (23-27) concentrated the superior knowledge on the subject. The conclusions indicated that in the studied population, there is a lack of knowledge about the cost and the need to train them. |

Aim: design a predictive model of the control of the anticoagulant in patients treated with warfarina sódica. Method: it realised an explanatory and prospective study in 50 patients treated with warfarina sódica in the Educational General Hospital “Dr. Agostinho Neto” during the period 2015-2016. These grouped in a group control (n=25, those with suitable anticoagulation, INR between 2.0-3.0) and a group study (n=25, with unsuitable anticoagulation, INR < 2.0). Results: The most predictive factors of the effect unsatisfactory anticoagulant were: live alone and the use of drugs that interfere with more proof and intensity in the effect of the drug.
