| HEMATOMA ESPONTÂNEO DE RETO ABDOMINAL: RELATO DE CASO | Author : Priscila Maciel Silvério Alves, Ana Beatriz Esteves Batista, Richard Raphael Borges Tavares, Ana Luiza Aguiar Guimarãres, Joaquim Ferreira De Paula, Carlos Augusto Marques Batista | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Introduction:Spontaneous hematoma of the rectus abdominis muscle is an uncommon condition, caused by the concentration of blood in its own muscular sheath and no association with trauma, although other conditions have been related to the entity. The clinical picture is usually non-specific and similar to other acute abdominal conditions, which requires, most of the time, diagnostic confirmation through imaging, thus avoiding unnecessary surgical interventions. Objective: To describe a clinical case of this unusual entity in medical practice, which was carried out and conducted at the School Hospital Luiz Gioseffi Jannuzzi of the Faculty of Medicine of Valença/RJ. Case report: An elderly woman, complaining of mesogastric and flank pain for about a week, without triggering factors or improvement, associated with the appearance of periumbilical and flank ecchymoses two days ago. At examination, there was asymmetric bulging in mesogastrium more pronounced to the left, Laffond and Fothergill signs and bulky palpable mass, painful, fixed, well delimited and maintained with the Smith-Bates maneuver. CT scan of the abdomen suggested spontaneous abdominal rectal hematoma, an entity of expectant management. After managing the other clinical conditions, he was discharged from hospital about two weeks after hospitalization. Conclusion:Spontaneous hematoma of the rectus abdominis muscle is still an under-emphasized entity due to the small number of cases described. It is important to keep it in mind for its correct identification and conduct, thus avoiding possible iatrogenies. |

Materials and Methods: A descriptive exploratory qualitative study was carried out. Participants in the study were pregnant women attending the prenatal care outpatient clinic of a Hospital in the interior, and a semi-structured interview was conducted with the participants. Data were analyzed by categorizing interview responses. Results:According to the data analysis it was possible to characterize the patients by: The identification profile of this pregnant woman, biological risk factors and gestational monitoring and monitoring. Regarding the analysis categories of the study, threewere identified in the development of the study:The perception of SHEG by the Pregnant Woman; When Gestation masks signs and symptoms of SHEG and Insufficient knowledge of the pregnant woman about the relation to Pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Conclusion: It concludes with the statements presented that there are deficiencies in the knowledge of the pregnant woman about SHEG, and the nurse has a satisfactory planning in the care with an inter and multidisciplinary team. |

| CARACTERIZAÇÃO DA DEMANDA DO PRONTO SOCORRO ADULTO DO HOSPITAL ESCOLA LUIZ GIOSEFFI JANNUZZI, VALENÇA-RJ | Author : Aléxia Patrício Matoszko, Allysson Lucas Martins, Davi de Araújo Ramos Benedito, Maria Clara Fajardo Lima, Thiago Spínola Rodrigues | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Introduction:The emergency room of Brazilian hospitals is suffering daily with the huge demand for cases that can be solved in primary health care. This fact leads to a distortion of the order of care, causing a reversal in the hierarchy of demand, as well as an overcrowding of the emergency and emergency services of hospitals, directly interfering in the quality of care to cases considered more serious and overloading the team of professionals involved in the promotion of health in these places. Materials and Methods:It is a cross-sectional study conducted between May and October 2018, whose data were collected through a questionnaire and the files recommended by the protocol of medical care. We sampled 96 users, predominantly female, aged over 60, mainly in the field of Pulmonology. Results: It was verified that the majority of the users that seek the services of the Municipal Emergency Aid does not, in fact, recognize a life-threatening situation that sometimes leads to the institutions stocking. The majority, 87.5%, preferred to seek help directly in the Emergency Room, in detriment of services in basic health units, andamongthese 64.5%, theywerenot of an urgent nature, being classified as outpatient intervention. Conclusion:Such research reinforced the need to improve access to the Basic Health Unit as the first option for entry into the system, thus avoiding overcrowding in the emergency room. |
| TRATAMENTO CONSERVADOR DA PERIODONTITE AGRESSIVA: RELATO DE CASO | Author : Débora Rodrigues do Amarante; Karina de Mello Vieira Pinto; Tatiane de Paiva Costa, Simone Maria Arnaut da Costa | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Introduction:Aggressive periodontitis is considered to be rare, characterized by rapid destruction of teeth support structures in conjunction with plaque levels not significant to the degree of destruction in healthy individuals. In addition, the familial occurrence of the cases is another characteristic of Aggressive Periodontitis. It is a complex disease, with many factors related to its manifestation: individual genetic variations; deficiency in the immune response and pathogenic subgingival microbiota. With these characteristics, it becomes important to elucidate them for a correct treatment to the patient with Aggressive Periodontitis. Objective:This article aims to report a clinical case where non -surgical treatment of Aggressive Periodontitis associated to systemic antimicrobials was performed. Case Report:The patient in the present study was diagnosed with Generalized Aggressive Periodontitis, where the treatment was performed at the PeriodonticsDepartment of Valença’s School of Dentistrybetween 2013 to 2015 and returning in the year 2018. That was performedaconservative treatment through manualand ultrasonic scaling and root planningin conjunction with antimicrobials. Maintenance was performed quarterly up to the year 2015. Conclusion:In Aggressive Periodontitis it is imperative to emphasize rapid progression, poor plaque and family aggregation for rapid diagnosis and correct treatment by scaling and root planning associatedwith antibiotic therapy, characterizing the conservative treatment. However, maintenance therapy and patient cooperation are essential to achieve treatment success. |
