STRUCTURAL ASPECTS OF INNER THREADS MADE BY PLASTIC DEFORMATION |
Author : CRISTEA ION, RADU CRINA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Phenomena that occur during the technological process of inner threading by plastic deformation are multiple (modification of the structure, fibre etc.) and they lead to increase of the qualitative index of parts. Cold plastic deformations are accompanied by elastic deformations of the metal layer; therefore, crystals dislocation and sliding phenomena that occur during processing, by displacements and partial springback of metal, cause a state of residual stresses within the plastic formed layer. The residual stresses are very different and unsymmetrical on the depth of formed layer, but they have the same values and distributions on the part length. Even if the force value can vary within very large limits, the residual stresses keep the same distributions in all cases. |

A MODEL FOR CONTROLLING A HYBRID-TYPE HOT WATER HEATING UNIT BY MEANS OF AN ELECTRONIC SYSTEM |
Author : EVSTATIEVA NADEZHDA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :It is necessary for the reduction of energy consumption in a hybrid-type hot water heating unit to estimate the hot process energy state. A model of the process has been suggested, which takes into account both the water consumption and the hourly solar radiation diagrams. The underlying dependences and approximations applied to the modeling have been grounded. The main advantage of the model is in its capability to estimate the current state of the process according to the on-line data provided by sensors, as well as to assess it based on the water consumption diagrams and hourly solar radiation values. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In the last year’s model based design has become an indispensable method in the development of mechatronic systems. Using this method the designers can test and optimize different parts or the entire system using a virtual model of the product, before a prototype is built. Next step in the design process is to create a prototype of the system and validate the simulation results. This stage can be a very difficult one and time consuming. We propose two methods that allow fast testing and prototyping using Matlab and the dSpace platform. The proposed methods are applied in the design of a 3-DOF parallel robot; the obtained results are presented in the paper. |

OPTIMIZING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS USING THE SIMHYDRAULICS PROGRAMMING ENVIRONMENT |
Author : PASCU MARIUS |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This paper analyzes the simulation of a hydrostatic system using the Simhydraulics programme of the Matlab programming environment. The author intention is to underline the advantages of this programme offers in performing the functional tests of the complex hydraulic systems. The form of the characteristics resulting after the simulation indicates the precision of the model created and subsequently allows the choice of the optimum functional parameters. Using some specialized software, making models and simulations which can be realized using them, are necessary steps in the modern projecting of a hydrostatic system. The advantages in terms of time and costs offered by this method are also underlined here. |

NEW CONFIGURATIONS OF THE SPIF PROCESS - A REVIEW |
Author : RADU CRINA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In the first part of the paper, some new configurations of the single point incremental forming process (SPIF) used to form lightweight materials are reviewed. In was found a significant lack of knowledge concerning the forming limits, the mechanism of deformation, the stress-strain state and microstructure, the influence of different process parameters on formability and parts accuracy. In the second part of the paper, the ability of a Zn alloy sheet to be processed by SPIF was investigated. A conical frustum was successfully formed but a significant springback affected the geometric accuracy of part. |

RESEARCH REGARDING THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING FLOURS FOR VARIOUS DESTINATIONS BY USING THE ADMIXTURES OF WHEAT AT ROMAN MILL |
Author : RUSU TITI, NECULAIASA VASILE |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The paper presents the manner of obtaining the flours for several destinations by mixing the wheat lots before milling. The admixing of the wheat lots is achieved by fulfilling the requests of the specialists from the bread factories so that for each range of products to use a certain type of „appropriate” flour. By means of the research work performed were determined the optimum quality indexes of the flour destined for the making of certain types of bakery products from wheat plots of several admixture variants. |

RESEARCH REGARDING THE INFLUENCE OF HYDROTHERMAL PROCESSING ON THE WHEAT MILLING PROCESS AND ON THE QUALITY OF FLOUR |
Author : RUSU TITI, NECULAIASA VASILE |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The study is explaining the way in which the hydrothermal processing of wheat is influencing the technological characteristics of the wheat berries and the baking quality of the resulting flour. Also there were established the correlations between the manners of conditioning and the degree of flour extraction, the specific power consumption and the quality of the products and of the sub-products resulting after the milling process. |

UTILITY OF GIS APPLICATIONS IN THE STUDY OF THE USE AND WATER QUALITY ON THE PETITE COTE OF SENEGAL |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Groundwater is a vital resource for humanity. Nowadays, the climatic deterioration causes depletion by high evaporation of surface water. Thus, most water needs are met by groundwater. This fact is verified in Senegal, which is a Sahelian country. The situation is alarming in the Petite Côte of Senegal. The groundwater resources are subject to a plethora of uses because the presence of surface water in the area is only temporary (during winter). The plurality of uses, most of the time wasteful, leads to an overexploitation of groundwater resources. In addition, certain human activities generate pollution of water from aquifers that are already affected by the natural fluorine pollution and salinisation. |

Author : ŢĂLU D. L. MIHAI, ŢĂLU D. L. ŞTEFAN |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This paper analyse through the finite element method (FEM) the hydraulic cylinder of linear hydraulic motor from horizontal Hydraulic Press – 2 MN. The analysis of the hydraulic cylinder of linear hydraulic motor from horizontal Hydraulic Press – 2 MN was made for determination of displacements and deformations. A three-dimensional model of the hydraulic cylinder with a complex geometry was generated based on the designed data. Finite element analysis was performed using COSMOSWorks software. Good agreement between predicted and measured results was obtained for hydraulic cylinder establishing the finite element method as an accurate analysis tool. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In this paper, the design optimization of the linear hydraulic motor plunger from horizontal Hydraulic Press – 2 MN is presented. The analysis of linear the hydraulic motor plunger of horizontal Hydraulic Press – 2 MN was made for determination of stresses, displacements, deformations, buckling and the factors of safety distribution. A three-dimensional model of the linear hydraulic motor plunger was generated based on the designed data. Finite element analysis was performed using COSMOSWorks software. The simulation results were evaluated and compared to the experimental data. Results show that the established FEM model provides useful information for the plunger optimal design. |
