Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :There are worldwide economic operators who use during the production process hazard substances which can lead to major accidents with severe consequences regarding health, the safety of persons and of the environment. This article describes a part of the measures imposed by the European legislation to prevent, prepare and for the responsibility of such technologies owners in order to identify, evaluate the risks and limit the consequences of major accidents in which are involved hazard substances. It is also a guide line for the companies which deal with goods transport (internal and international traffic) to know and to respect the most recent laws which were included in the new structure of The European Agreement referring to international transport of hazard substances and to run the activities which influence the transport security. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Energy and environmental problems are closely related, since it is nearly impossible to produce, transport, or consume energy without significant environmental impact. The environmental problems directly related to energy production and consumption includes air pollution, climate change, water pollution, thermal pollution, and solid waste disposal. The emission of air pollutants from fossil fuel combustion is the major cause of urban air pollution. Burning fossil fuels is also the main contributor to the emission of greenhouse gases. |

INTERFACE DAMAGE CHARACTERIZATION THROUGH COHESIVE PARAMETERS |
Author : STUPARU FLORIN ADRIAN, CONSTANTINESCU DAN MIHAI |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Interface damage characterization and interlaminar failure analysis of sandwich specimens with an initial interlaminar delamination in between the face sheet and the core are obtained by using interface cohesive elements. Peel tests reveal interesting particularities on damage localization and strain variation while damage is completed. The critical strain at damage initiation, as well as the critical displacement when damage is finalized, is established by using the digital image correlation method (DIC) in the cohesive zone. After the calibration of the finite element model through experimental results, the use of cohesive elements together with a linear or exponential softening law is analyzing the influence of the critical material parameters on the damage process and of the damping factor of the exponential law on the strain distribution in the core at different locations along the interface. |

Author : PASCU MARIUS, ANDRIOAIA DRAGOS, OBREJA CLAUDIU-FLORIN, FUNARU MARIAN |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The increase of manufacturing accuracy on the machine tools depends mainly on the motion accuracy of the mobile elements as: rams, tables, pads, etc., accuracy that can be achieved, firstly, by minimization of the friction in the guide ways. This problem is solved by replacing the sliding friction with the rolling friction but especially by using the hydrostatic guide ways, where the contact surfaces are separated by a continuous film of fluid under pressure. The present paper describes mathematical modeling of hydrostatic guide ways having a porous restrictor in order to analyze the influence of functional parameters on the film lubricant thickness. |

Author : VAJU GEORGE, URSACHE LILIANA, HERMAN COSMIN |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The paper presents authors' experience with the assisted assessment of student (pupils, students, or adults), the assisted methods applied locally and online. The authors of the present material effectively apply these methods for about ten years using different systems. The results are clearly positive and would not justify further activity, but as in any business there is something concrete that can be improved further. These are general for all applications studied and applied to the present like the systems Claroline, Sakai, Netschool, Moodle, and even the platform currently being in the stage of implementation in Romania, INSAM. But the examples are made for the platforms MOODLE and INSAM, for practical reasons, namely MOODLE has been applied extensively in recent years and INSAM was studied as a new element in the Romanian market. |

Author : ABABEI STEFAN, ABABEI OANA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :On-line control of great dimensions sheet form products, e.g. paper sheet, involves the existence of some sensors which are moved across the sheet. Consequently, some parameters, e.g. impurities amount on surface unit, must be measured off line with a representative sample; the dimensions of the sample are surfaces impurities amount functions. This paper presents a preliminary analysis method of surface impurities amount in the purpose of determining the sample dimensions. |

INDUCTIVE-CAPACITIVE CURRENT STABILIZER POWERED BY AN ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR |
Author : GEORGIEV GEORGI, EVSTATIEVA NADEZHDA, TZVETKOV ILIAN |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The simplicity, reliability and low cost of the asynchronous generators make them suitable (compared to the synchronous ones) for use as autonomous generators especially when lower load power is applied. This explains the purpose of the present paper which is to analyze a feasible application of asynchronous generators with practical value as a powering element of an inductive-capacitive current stabilizer. Analytical studies were carried out using a complex method for analysis and research of electromagnetic circuits. The obtained ratios justify the assumption of complementarity of the two systems (parametric current source and autonomous asynchronous generator) in their joint work. Thus, the special capacity for asynchronous generator excitation becomes irrelevant. The experimental checks confirm the analytical results. |

REVIEW OF HIGH CYCLE FATIGUE MODELS APPLIED FOR MULTIAXIAL TENSION-TORSION LOADING BASED ON A NEW ACCURACY ASSESSMENT PARAMETER |
Author : KUN LORAND |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :A parameter denoted “Critical Position Offset Angle” – CPOA is proposed in this paper, developed as a new approach for assessing the accuracy of multiaxial HCF models based on the angle difference between the predicted critical plane and the plane where the equivalent stress reaches its peak value. A number of 11 models are compared using this parameter, by applying them to simulated multiaxial tension-torsion loadings with different grades of nonproportionality. A wider scatter in CPOA values is identified in cases of loading with dominant shear stress. Overall, the equivalent stress models give the best results. |

Author : EL HADDAD MOHAMMADINE, SLIMANI RACHID, MAMOUNI RACHID, SAFFAJ NABIL, RIDAOUI MOHAMED, LAZAR SAÏD |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Removal of Basic Red 46 from aqueous media was achieved onto Animal Bone Meal as a new low cost adsorbent. The latter was characterized by Infra-Red and X-ray diffraction. The adsorption of Basic Red 46 was occurred by studying the effects of adsorbent amount, dye concentration, contact time, pH media and temperature. The adsorption rate data were analyzed using the pseudo-first order and the pseudo-second order kinetics models to determine adsorption rate constants. The isotherms of adsorption data were analyzed by both adsorption isotherm models Langmuir and Freundlich. The monolayer adsorption capacity is 76 mg/g of animal bone meal. Nearly 30 minutes of contact time was found to be sufficient for the dye adsorption to reach equilibrium. Thermodynamic parameters were also evaluated for the dye-adsorbent system and revealed that the adsorption process is endothermic in nature. All results found concluded that animal bone meal could be effectively employed as effective new low cost adsorbent for the removal textile dyes from aqueous solutions. |

Author : MOLDOVANU SIMONA, BIBICU DORIN, MORARU LUMINITA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Echocardiography analysis technique has played an important role in correctly establishing the diagnosis. Moreover, microbubbles (MB) or contrast agent was designed to cross the pulmonary capillary beds into the left ventricle so as to allow the left ventricular contrast enhancement and to study its microcirculation. In this study we computed density distribution MB in the left ventricle (LV) between the frames end-systole and end-diastole for two diagnoses, pulmonary hypertension and one that attest a healthy LV. The process of evaluating the MB was computed inside the LV cavity using density distribution in function by radius of MB experimented in pixels. |
