Subsequently a diagnosis was made to identify the current state of the environmental management and the integration of these standards. The results show that the quality system is implicit from the strategic planning, is part of its organizational culture and is a tool that contributes to the fulfillment of the mission. With environmental management, this same appropriation is not reflected in the absence of elements such as policies or guidelines that contribute to identify, reduce or control aspects. Finally, with these elements, guidelines were proposed that serve as a tool for the HEI to integrate their quality and environmental management systems and to contribute to the decision-making by top management. |

This article is the beginning of a series of writings that deepen awareness about its impact on organizations, as assessed, preventive and corrective action should take the organization for continuous improvement, among others. The limitation in conducting this article, consisted of the scant literature on the proposed topic. The consequences of accidents affect not only the workers but their families, can also cause significant environmental damage and economic loss for the community, for these reasons it is necessary to identify the factors that influence these arise are. Case studies and practical experience have shown that the frequency and severity of accidents depend on the dangers inherent in work and own physical, physiological and psychological factors worker, leading to the conclusion that largely injuries are caused by lack awareness of these workers (OIT, 2015). | Elliott Jaques’ Required Organization Theory: The missing chapter in management textbooks | Author : Javier Muñoz Orozco | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Management as a science is a relatively newcomer in
the human repository. Some authors give the date of
its birth in 1886 with Henry Robinson Towne’s lecture
The engineer as an economist within the context
of the Scientific Administration (George & Alvarez,
2005). Management theories developed and evolved
since then and had been published in textbooks
for the use of students. However, none of these
textbooks offers a glimpse of Elliott Jaques’ (1917-
2003) Requisite Organization. This article presents a
Requisite Organization’s overview and makes a comparative
analysis with other major scientific management
theories developed in the past, following Glaser
and Strauss (1967) method of continuous comparisons.
The conclusion is that Jaques’ research of more than
60 years should be known in the academic world and
taught in business schools. |
