LEGAL AND PUBLIC FRAMEWORK OF ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS IN TURKEY | Author : Ahmet Erkan METIN-Atila GÜL | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Today, it is accepted that legal and institutional structure
can have an important effect on the basis of increasingly
diverse environmental problems, with the attitudes and
behaviors of the individual and society in terms of
environmental ethics. There are also penalties and sanctions
in the present legislation in Turkey for the human factor,
having the active role in the emergence of environmental
problems. The aim of such sanctions is to protect the the
biotic and abiotic values in nature and to prevent
environmental pollution and destruction. The present
penalties and sanctions have material imposition and they
may also impose imprisonment. It is known that relevant
national institutions and organizations are present in
Turkey. The scope of the responsibilities of the present
public institutions and organizations includesensuring the
sustainability of environmental values, protecting them,
supervising their use, and managing them.In the legal
dimension of environmental ethics, the aim is toraise the
awareness of the environment-centered thinking and lifestyle
for the individualsby the state by adapting environmentcentered behavior rather than human-centered behavior.
Thus, both the sustainability of the livable environment and
leaving a clean environment for the future generations and
the right of individuals to live in healthy environmental
conditions will be protected. It is possibleto say that
realization of individual and social awareness and
consciousness processes in harmony and sincerity at the
level of discourse and action in the protection of the
environment, reaching the social approach dimension will
create important effects in environmenta lprotection. It is not
sufficient to take necessary legal and institutional measures
to protect and sustain the environment. It is also important
to increase awareness and consciousness of ethical attitudes
and behaviors in the individual and social dimensions.
In this study, environmental protection and ethical
principles in the legal and public dimension in Turkey
examined and suggestions are made for sustainability. |
| VISUAL POETRY AND MÜSECCER POEMS OF TWO POETS FROM SIIRT | Author : Sedat AKAY | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Letters and words have been used in different forms,
such as “visual poetry”, outside of normal use
throughout our literary history. For example, strings in
image-centered texts that combine poetry and painting
are placed in a way that creates an image (figure /
pattern). In such poems, visuality gains a distinct feature
with the effect of pictorial stacking and compositions, so
the concept of "watched poetry" comes to the fore rather
than " read poem ".
These kinds of applications, which are rarely seen
compared to other literary arts, were shown among the
skills included in the rhetoric. One of these kinds of skills
based on the way words and letters are combined or
pronounced is the method called companion, which is
mostly based on visuality. These texts are read and
examined within the framework of some rules in terms of
both content and form. The availability of the Arabic
alphabet to versatile compositions contributed to the
attractiveness and spread of these literary products.
The scholars and poets of Siirt who wrote poetry in this
style, known by names such as “visual poetry” or
“figurative poetry”, constitute an important number.
Molla Hamid Efendi and his son Molla Cevat
(Durceylan) are among the leading figures. In our study,
general information about visual poetry and its features
will be given. Later, after giving information about the
life of these two scholars, who were born in the last
period of the Ottoman Empire and lived in the
Republican era, they will be given examples of figurative
poetry on the subject |
