| Las ilustraciones de Pawel Kuczynski como recurso educativo y crítica sociocultural. | Author : Erika González García, Helena Chacón-López | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Today we live in a society, which we call "Knowledge Society". Pawel Kuczynski, through his work, expect to show a critical vision of the main problems at a global level, inviting us to reflect on them. Presently, we believe that through the new technologies and Internet there is a greater ease to diffuse this type of works to reach them all parts of the world. Thus, the main goal of this paper is to analyze and reflect on the Pawel Kuczynski illustrations from a pedagogical vision, as an educational resource and sociocultural critic. In this sense, the historians of education emphasize the study of its content, beyond the reality that a photograph can bring in a snapshot. |
| ). La inclusión educativa y social desde la música y la palabra | Author : Ana Mercedes Vernia Carrasco, Francisco Javier Cantos Aldaz | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The educational and social inclusion of music and speech is aimed, on the
one hand, at improving the most disadvantaged people, facilitating integration
in their environment and in difficult contexts, and on the other hand, creating
a training program in order to That students of primary level could contribute, from their experience and knowledge acquired in their training, a
complementary practical application to students of similar characteristics and
in environments of difficulty. This proposal is an initiative to be carried out in
future cooperation projects and is based on the hypothesis that education can
influence factors of resilience and social inclusion, using music and word as
the backbone to avoid social and educational exclusion in adults. This project
is part of the 10th Call for aid for research and training projects of the
Permanent Observatory of Immigration (OPI-UJI). |
| La investigación en educación musical entre lo interdisciplinar y lo específico. Dando visibilidad a sus intereses docentes e investigadores | Author : Amparo Porta | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The space of musical education in Spain moves between interests, political priorities and in the European Space of Higher Education as a scientific area seeks its place, which is basically oriented between the specific and the interdisciplinary and whose lines determine different objectives that address
with specific approach methodologies to achieve their achievement. This text is interested in knowing what are the outstanding interests of research in music education. To study this, the abstracts and keywords of scientific articles in Spanish and foreign music education magazines have been taken as reference. The methodology used is the analysis of computeraided content: the QDA. The results show the thematic as well as methodologies of approach and analysis of the Music Education distinguishing between types of documents, keywords and summaries, as well as the origin
by Spanish and foreign magazines. In this way we hope to access the memory of our area of knowledge, its interdisciplinary ramifications and its research interests. |
| ¿Qué canciones infantiles se trabajan en el aula universitaria? Guías Docentes y realidades educativas desde una visión comparada | Author : Desirée García-Gil, Consuelo Pérez-Colodrero, María del Mar Bernabé Villodre | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The different legislative reforms have strengthened the inclusion of a varied repertoire in the subject of Music, oriented to expand a musical bag respectful with different musical manifestations. Despite this, traditional popular music does not have a special presence in the teaching guides of Early Childhood and Primary Education: advocates the use of a classicromantic repertoire for Primary and the popular-traditional substrate is reserved for Pre-School Education. In this context, the autonomic competences have determined the elaboration of educational curricula, in compulsory education and in grades. Thus, this research analyzes the presence of the traditional-popular musical substrate in the teaching guides
of the Grades of Infant and Primary Education, the universities of Valencia, Granada and Complutense in Madrid. The results show that, despite the legislative defense of an own musical product, it is not consolidated in these guidelines. |
| The importance of new didactic materials in Teaching Portuguese to Erasmus+ Students. Some practices in course at the College of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra | Author : Pedro Balaus Custódio | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The teaching of Portuguese - Foreign Language (PFL) constitutes a great didactic challenge today.
In the present reflection, we consider only the academic territory of Erasmus+ students who attend the Portuguese - Foreign Language courses of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, taught during the period of international
mobility. Thus, because of this experience, we will describe some work practices in this field and the importance that the digital didactic materials assume in the classes, highlighting some didactic solutions whose acceptance and results are more expressive with the students and can lead us to more effective, creative and motivational paths and learning results. |
| Importância da literacia no controlo da pressão arterial em populações especiais: o caso das crianças/ adolescentes e dos idosos | Author : Telmo Pereira | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :An understanding of the factors that modulate health and well-being constitutes a critical aspect for the preservation of the good functioning of the human body. Considering the demographic challenge posed by population ageing, the adoption of a lifelong health preservation strategy is assumed to be essential, incorporating health literacy as an essential strategic component of health policies. Some studies have focused on the importance of health education in promoting a healthier cardiovascular system, focusing, among other aspects, on the ecological effect of greater knowledge on health over the blood pressure profile. Given this circumstance, two studies
were carried out to identify the benefits of a health education program on blood pressure in two special populations: children/adolescents and the elderly. Two cohorts were included: cohort A - children/adolescents (ages 5
to 17 years at inclusion date); Cohort B - elderly (ages 65-90 years at inclusion date). Cohort A consisted of 3550 families and a cohort B of 45 elderly. In both studies, the experimental design involved a baseline cardiovascular evaluation, followed by a structured and individualized health education program, focusing on the health promotion factors adjusted for each type of population, and reassessing the cardiovascular profile in annual follow-up visits. On follow-up of Cohort A, a group of families reported having adjusted their life behaviors following the educational intervention (active group: n = 1150), contrasting with others who reported not having made
major adjustments (control group: n = 2400). The longitudinal trends for blood pressure followed a different trajectory, with a reduction of 1.43 mmHg in systolic pressure and 0.63 mmHg in diastolic pressure only in the active group, which maintained a difference in the order of 1.71 mmHg for systolic pressure and 0.59 mmHg for diastolic pressure compared with the control
group after 2 years of follow-up. In cohort B, the intervention was also accompanied by a significant reduction of blood pressure and a significant increase in the percentage of controlled hypertensive elderly patients, rising from 51.2% (baseline) to 74.4% (post-intervention), as a result of a
significant increase in the adherence to therapy following the education program (adherence to treatment increased from 11.6% to 79.1%, p <0.05). The results robustly demonstrate the benefits and complementary efficacy of health education in the adjustment of blood pressure trajectories throughout
life, to levels that are biologically more beneficial to the individual. It is also clear that a structured intervention in early stages can lead to long-term health gains, adding importance to health literacy as a component to be considered in primary prevention strategies, for the promotion of active and
healthy aging. |
| Desafios e oportunidades para a comunicação das organizações nos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável | Author : Joana Lobo de Mesquita Simões Pires Fernandes | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Corporate Social Responsibility represents the incorporation of social and environmental concerns into an equation traditionally subordinated to the economic logic of profit. This integration led to the emergence of new organizational management paradigms, guided by a narrative that calls for an economy at the service of life (Laszlo, Sroufe and Waddock, 2017).
Higher education institutions, which form the leaders of tomorrow, are no different, as they also have important and unique impacts on society in general, and on the communities in which they are inserted, in particular. However, it adds a unique and differentiating element that lies in its ability to
produce knowledge and promote learning (Vallaeys, 2009). It highlights the challenges and opportunities that SDG brings to organizations, in general, and to higher education institutions, in particular. |
| Proyecto I+D+i TIMONEL: informe de progreso de trabajos realizados en el Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra | Author : Fernando José Sadio-Ramos | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The main objective of the text is to update the account of research activities carried out in the scope of the TIMONEL R+D+i Project: Recommendation System (SR) based on the needs of orientation and tutoring of university students and graduates in the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC). Thus,
we proceed to the presentation of the Project and the exploratory activities carried out and their results. We divide it into two parts: 1) In the Introduction, a brief presentation of the project itself is made, giving its fundamental elements; 2) Next, we give a moment of its research progress regarding data collection procedures through group dynamics carried out
with participants belonging to the sample population of one of the institutions that collaborate in TIMONEL: IPC; we proceed, then, to the descriptive presentation of the work carried out, and give a reference of elements that have been collected from that population, which highlight good practices of the institution. |
