Abstract : The objective of this research is t o develop a novel volt age con trol scheme that can compensat e f or volt age sag and swell conditions in three-phase power s ys t ems. F aults occurring in power dis tribution s ys t ems or f acilities in plan ts cause the volt age sag or swell. If a f ault occurs, it can damage the power s ys t em or user's f acility . Sensitivity t o volt age sags and swells varies within dif f eren t applications. F or sensitive loads, even volt age sags of short duration can cause serious problems in the en tire s ys t em. Normally , a volt age in t erruption triggers a prot ection devic e, which causes shut down of the en tire s ys t em. |

The dis t ance between the s t arting of the residual curren t and the poin t of half diffusion gives the half wave pot en tial value as 0.645 V , which is compared t o the s t andard value of half wave pot en tial of Cd2+ in 1M K Cl as supporting electrolyte as 0.64 V , both are in good agreemen t. |
