Drug Abuse Among Rural Youth: A Study in Agra |
Author : Narendra Pal Singh AND Shekhar Rajpoot |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Drug abuse is a complex phenomenon, which has various social, cultural, biological, geographical, historical and economic aspects. The disintegration of the old joint family system, absence of parental love and care in modern families where both parents are working, decline of old religious and moral values etc lead to a rise in the number of drug addicts who take drugs to escape hard realities of life. Drug use, misuse or abuse is also primarily due to the nature of the drug abused, the personality of the individual and the addict's immediate environment. The processes of industrialization, urbanization and migration have led to loosening of the traditional methods of social control rendering an individual vulnerable to the stresses and strains of modern life. The fast changing social milieu, among other factors, is mainly contributing to the proliferation of drug abuse, both of traditional and of new psychoactive substances. |

ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE MSME SECTOR IN INDIA |
Author : SRINIVASA RAO BEHARA AND M. V. SURYANARAYANA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In this paper focus on entrepreneurship development within the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector in India. . Over the last few years, there have been major policy changes at the federal and state level aimed at consolidating and developing this sector. The MSME Development Act of 2006 is perhaps the most crucial of these recent policy changes. Secondly the policies of interest are state outlays and subsidies targeted towards this sector. More specifically, we analyze the impact of total financial subsidies to the sector, total state investment in industrial parks and clusters aimed at this sector and the total state expenditure to support technology within the MSME sector. The paper main findings are that while specific policies that are aimed at the MSME sector have basically no significant impact on the growth of this sector, more general development policies such as expenditure on infrastructure and access to finance have significantly positive impact on growth of the MSME sector across states in India over the last 15 years. |

Author : ASHOK YAKKALDEVI |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : he social consequences, disadvantage and sub - ordination of women on the one hand, and the rapid socio - cultural and economic changes on the other have significantly al tered traditional structures and institutions within society. Such changes are invariably associated with social upheaval, and drug abuse is a known outc ome of such change. Clearly, drug abuse impacts women dually - male drug abuse creates enormous burden f or the affected women, and drug abuser has even graver problems for women. From another perspective, urban settings appear to be associated with patterns of drug abuse in women mirroring that of men, with probably higher risk behaviours associated with uns afe injecting and sexual practices which causes transmission of Hepatitis and HIV. Use of drugs causes domestic violence, which magnifies the physical and emotional distress of the family. Women w ho misuse of drugs commonly reported serious diseases like as ARI, gastrointestinal, genitourinary liver problems and sexually transmitted infections. Women also suffered psychological problems included insomnia, depression and anxiety etc. The Approaches of treatment and prevention therefore need to consider the problem of drug abuse impact on women from all these angles, as well as from the context of empowerment, support and attention to the spec ial needs of women |

Author : Laxmikant D. Rangari , Mrs. P.M. Zode & P.G. Mehar |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The present work involved the Finite Element Analysis of existing LPG gas cylinder to verify the burst pressure. The LPG gas cylinder is manufactured from low carbon steel. The LPG tanks are subjected to incremental internal uniform pressure in the FEA model. 2D nonlinear plane models are developed and evaluated under non-uniform and axisysmmetric boundary conditions. For the analysis, the required actual shell properties including weld zone and thickness variation are investigated. Therefore the stress distribution has been analyzed using ANSYS 11 software for which maximum shear stress, equivalent shear stress at critical area has been calculated. Therefore 3D solid model has been chosen in order to predict the detailed stress. |
