Author : Bhosale Rupali Ganpat |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Keats’ La Belle Dame Sans Merci (1819) is cast in ballad form and is beautifully arranged in lyrical stanzas. The title of the poem means “The Beautiful Lady Without Mercy’ and points to the
poignant tale of love in the poet’s personal life. It is a well-known fact that Keats’ long-cherished desire of getting united in love with his dream girl, Fanny Brawne, could not be realised because of his fatal disease resulting in great despair for him. Speaking of this despair, John Middleton Murry has aptly remarked: “Death and poverty—either of these might deprive him of the possession of his live…. So….. Keats passed through the ecstasy of love to the ecstasy of despair, a despair deeper than any he had felt before, a despair as 1 deep as any that man can feel.” The dreaded disease---consumption—had already taken away the precious life of his brother Thomas in December, 1818, and he was also in its inescapable grip, sensing his imminent death and dissolution. The poem La Belle Dame Sans Merci brings to the fore Keats’ longing for love and life in an indirect manner. |

Abstract :Like Hardy’s Wessex novels, Narayan’s Malgudi novels are also so many studies in life’s little ironies. The irony of life may be defined as the happening of the undesired and the unexpected. In life we expect one thing and get its exact opposite, and what we get is not only unexpected, it is also the undesired. Life’s little ironies make Narayan’s novels, tragi-comedies of mischance and misdirection, and The Guide is no exception to this general rule. It is also a study of life’s little ironies enacted against the backdrop

TRANSGENIC APPROACHES TO DEVELOP RESISTANCE AGAINST GEMINIVIRUSES INFECTING CROP PLANTS |
Author : Priyanka Gaikwad |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Geminiviruses infect large number of economically important crop plants and cause a devastating yield loss. These are a group of
ss-DNA viruses with unique twined icosahedral virus particles. This is the largest genus of plant viruses. Yield losses depend on the growing stage at which infection occurs and ranges from 50-95%. Reduction in exploitable genetic changes for virus resistance in crop germplasm, emergence of disease resistance breaking virus strains, increase in virus vector populations, environmental conditions and emergence of new biotypes in the recent years have made it mandatory to explore alternative means for incorporating virus resistance/tolerance in crop plants. Much progress has been achieved to protect plants against RNA and DNA virus infections using breeding and biotechnological tools. |

COMPOSITE THIN FILM OF ZnO/TiO2 BY SPRAY PYROLYSIS TECHNIQUE |
Author : Prof. Nitin D. Wable |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In present investigation ZnO/TiO2 composite thin film were
deposited on glass substrate by using spray pyrolysis. Optical
characterization of prepared nanocrystalline films was performed by UV Visible spectroscopy. Various process parameters have been studied in order to optimize efficient photocatalytic reduction .
A Solar energy has the potential of becoming a renewable
energy alternative to fossils fuels. The thin film technologies reduce the amount of material required in forming the active material of solar cell. Because of the photocatalytic activity prepeared composite thin films are used for water purification or for the gas leackage detector. This composite thin film were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique. Chemicals which are used like zinc acetate(CH3COO)Zn.2H2o,(0.2m) for ZnO & for Tio2 TAA(C10H14O5),(0.01m).The structural properties of ZnO?Tio2 composite thin film have been investigated by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) & the optical properties were observed by UV – Vis Spectrometer (UV-Vis).
