Author : Dr.Bushra Saadoon Mohammed Alnoori |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :It is generally believed that creative writing cannot be taught. Although this is true to some extent, creative talents can be developed through teacher intervention. Attempts to teach creative writing begin at the primary school level. Teachers mostly provide models and there is a tendency on the part of students to
avail of readymade essays and compositions rather than write them. When presented with a blank white paper and pencil, students lack the confidence to fill up the blankness with well-organized, systematically written out content that makes sense. |

Author : Alehegn Bitew Melesse |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This paper tries to examine Alexander Raju?s “Hopes and Fears” (2003) from a deconstructive critical perspective. The study tries to come, as close as it can, to the text in order to deconstruct it and reaches at a new reading of the poem by applying the principles of the theory of Deconstruction. “A New Critical reading
of the text” as Tyson declares “is often a useful first step in deconstructing a literary work because such readings can almost always be found to rest on a binary opposition in which one member of the pair is privileged over the other” (260). So, firstly the poem is analyzed from new critical point of view, |

FLOW AND DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY: THEORETICAL LINKS |
Author : Aditi Mehta |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This paper attempts to find theoretical links between the concept of flow and Dance and Movement Therapy. Little work has been done on DMT from a Positive Psychology framework. Flow or optimum experience is a state of complete absorption in the task at hand which leads to loss of self consciousness,
distortion of temporal experience and is characterised by intrinsic motivation. DMT is the psychotherapeutic use of dance and movement to bring about emotional, cognitive and physical integration of the person. The links are explored under four themes, namely, the body as a source of flow, balance
between challenge and abilities, clear goals and immediate feedback, and intrinsic motivation- relatedness, competence and autonomy. These theoretical links may offer new insight that may add to the therapeutic value of DMT. |
