AGRO-RESIDUES GENERATION IN ANDHRA PRADESH AND ODISHA-CONSTRAINTS AND ISSUES OF UTILISATION FOR ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT |
Author : D.VIJAYA KUMAR |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The agro-residues utilisation for energy generation is energy, agriculture and environment nexus. Andhra Pradesh and Odisha states generate large quantities of primary agro-residues, whose potential is more than 8200 MW. These residues are presently burnt openly, resulting in worse pollution. The issue of agro-residues power generation overlaps in the utilisation pattern required for Agricultural activity. A part of the agro-residues is also required for soil water Conservation and maintaining soil nutrient levels for sustainable production. A balance should be maintained for retention of these residues and diversion for alternate uses like energy generation. The resolution of the issues, constraints and guidelines for evolving suitable strategies based on the requirement for agriculture and energy generation are discussed in this paper for sustainable biomass power generation |

Author : J. SEKAR , L. JAYANTHI AND K. PARTHASARATHI |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Field experiments were conducted to study the effect of application of vermicompost alone, inorganic fertilizers alone and in supplementation of vermicompost and inorganic fertilizers (NPK) on germination, growth, biochemical constituents and yield of chilli, Capsicum annuum. Treatment with 5/tones/hectare vermicompost and vermicompost supplemented with inorganic fertilizers (w/w) show significantly higher germination, growth (root and shoot length, fresh and dry plant weight), and biochemical constituents (chlorophyll - a, b and total, amino acid and protein, and sugar-reducing, non-reducing and total) than lone application of inorganic fertilizers. Also, a similar effect was seen on yield characters of chilli (number of fruits per plant, fruit length and green and dry fruit weight). In overall investigations, the results specified that the combined application of vermicompost and recommended dose of inorganic fertilizers (RDCF) promisinig results in the cultivation of chilli and further, the vermicompost reduce 50% RDCF to the crop and enhances growth and yield than 100% application of RDCF on chilli. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Humans always had a need to communicate with each other. Privileged information needed to be hidden or coded so the communication could be accomplished without interception by third parties. This need arose the concept of data encryption. Today, with increased competition and the ease and speed with which information is transmitted, data encryption has become a priority for businesses and large corporations. More than ever the information has immeasurable value. Companies spend millions to obtain privileged information, just as invest millions in security to keep them in their possession. This unceasing search for information that can provide competitive advantages makes it necessary to develop more robust methods to ensure information security, including the use of Artificial Neural Networks, one of the areas of Artificial Intelligence. |

Author : T MURALI MOHAN AND CH PRAVEEN KUMAR |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The objective of this project is optimal operation of a Brushless dc (BLDC) motor drive when it is connected to Photovoltaic system. The system was first studied without regulation then with a proportional integral (PI) controller. The motor is controlled through an outer speed loop with a PI type controller. The proportional and integral gains are set to their optimal values. In order to optimize the overall system efficiency, a Maximum power point tracker is also used. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) device is located between PVarray and batteries to optimise the power transfer from the PVarray and batteries. In this we use perturb & observe (P&O) method of algorithm. Simulation is carried out by formulating the mathematical model for the photovoltaic source, Maximum power point tracker (MPPT), and BLDC motor drive. The PV panel connected to the BLDC motor drive with PI controller is used as a speed regulator is done by d MATLAB/Simulink software. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The history of the relations between the two ruling dynasties of South Indian between 7th century and the 13th century is an engrossing tale of political activity that overhauled the entire political spectrum of a region and time. Rastrakutas were one of the most powerful dynasties of South Indian who ruled from Malkhed and created one of the biggest empires in the whole of South India and India. Their ambition to expand the political boundaries led to several battles and wars with the contemporary dynasties. They not only invaded the Tamil country but also penetrated into the Andhra desha. The Andhradesha, was ruled by the Vengi Chalukyas, a half shoot of a dynasty created by Kubja Vishnuvardhna, the brother of Pulicasin-II. Though, the Vengi rule was safe until, the supremacy of Chalukays of Badami, they became the targets of attack, with the decline of Chalukyas of Badami. They were chiefly troubled by the Rastrakutas on several occasions and many battles took place between them. However, the mighty Rastrakutas were ably challenged by the rulers of Vengi mandala and stiff resistance was posed at every time. In this present paper, an attempt is made to highlight, the political struggle that took place between the Rastrakutas and the Vengi Chalukyas and how many wars were ensured between them towards this. It is a portrayal of the growing political ambitions of the South Indian medieval powers towards their own rise and fall, on the basis of many inscriptions and grants |

MARKETING – THE IMPORTANCE OF CREDIBLE STORIES |
Author : NIDHI SHARMA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Marketing is a fascinating subject. What makes it intriguing is that it is also a “soft” subject. Despite all the research that goes into getting the 4 Ps of marketing right, marketing campaigns often fail, because they do not tell a credible story. There is a child in all of us that likes to hear interesting stories. Organizations which can tell better stories and back it up with matching consumer experience will not only start better but sustain performance better. Companies that are continuously innovating create value and have the ability to tell credible stories. Whether one is promoting a product or service, engaging in corporate branding or building an employer brand, the success of its efforts depends on its ability to create a compelling and credible story. This article explores the importance of credible storytelling through several examples of how some organizations weaved this soft aspect into their campaigns to create marketing success, and how some others failed to do so. |
