The primary concern of the citizens in a good civil society is that their government must be fair and good. For a Government to be good it is essential that their systems and sub-systems of Governance are efficient, economic, ethical and equitable. In addition the governing process must also be just reasonable fair and citizen-friendly. The administrative system must also be accountable and responsive besides promoting transparency and people’s partici- pation.

Language was prioritized over literature in English classes and the curriculum was designed on language drills and corpus-based communicative situations until 1960s. At the turn of the century, literature has regained its importance in language teaching. This paper discusses the five techniques taken from Francis Prendiville and Nigel Toye in the teaching of drama in a language classroom which have the potential to enhance the listening skill of the ESL learners especially in the Indian context.

This study is based on case study research approach toexplore qualitatively, the types of violence and the nature of reasons behind the abuse elderly womenface at hand of their family members. Various Cases are collected from newspapers and various secondary sources. The study is conducted through the frame work of feminist and sociological perspe ctive.It has been seen that abusive individual use violence and abuse to gain and maintain power and control during the last years of elderly women making the life of elderly women very complicated.

The idea is to apply a the total systems approach to managing the entire flow of information, materials and services from raw materials suppliers through the factories and warehouses to the end customers. In the broadest sense, a supply chain refers to the way that materials flow through different organisations starting from with raw materials and ending with finished products delivered to ultimate customers. A supply chain is the sequence of suppliers, transporters, ware houses, manufac turers, wholesalers, distributors, retai lers and final consu mers.

The Quantitative fluvial charac- teristics of the Wainganga river basin have been discussed under linear aspects. The Wainganga River is one of the major tributaries of Godavari River. The total river basin area is 49949.68 Sq. km. The total length of the Wainganga River is 638.91 km, of which 270.2 km lie in Madhya Pradesh. It than travels 32 km along the border between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, while the remaining 336.17 km lie in Maharashtra. As the main objectives of this work was to discover holistic stream properties from the measurement of various stream attributes, detailed Morphometric analysis is carried out for the seventh-order drainage sub-basins of the Wainganga River catchment and discusses their feature and characteristic and also attempt to find out the stages of geomorphic development with the help of different Morphometric parameter viz.

Establishment of Maratha rule over Bijapur, is a very important aspect of Maratha History in Medieval India. In 1760 A.D. with the treaty of Udgir with Nizam, Maratha became ruler of Bijapur. From 1760 A.D. to 1818 A.D. Peshwa enjoyed full political regime over Bijapur. But due to internal disputes between Peshwa and Chatrapati, Englishmen entered in political scenario of India. Finally, in 1818, by defeating Peshwa in war of Aashti, Englishmen became ruler of Satara Raj (Bijapur was a Prant of Satara Raj). Inspite of all these political ups and downs, one feature remain as it was and this feature was Maratha admini- stration system which remain as it was in the times of Shivaji with slight changes. Maratha admini- stration was such effective and appli- cable, that English men accepted same for the administration of Bijapur.

This paper’s aim is to identify the strategies that affect the beekeepers’s commercialization process in Southern Rondônia.

Honey production in the northern region of Brazil is growing in recent years, however, although there is great potential apiarian the Rondônia state does not follow the production trend in the region, caused mainly by problems related to the lack of financial incentive and specialized support to small producers . Thus, the present study aims at historical review of honey production in Rondônia and its contribution to regional development and to identify the difficulties encountered in the produ- ction of state arrangement. The research is based on literature review through data collection and subse- quent analysis in order to draw the profile of apiarian production status and the difficulties encountered.

Objective of this study was to find out the relationship of various obesity measures with blood pressure of shopkeepers. For this purpose fifty shopkeepers of 30-50 years from Varanasi were selected purposely. BMI, WC and WHR were selected as measures of obesity and also predictor variables for this study while blood pressure was chosen as criterion variables. Standard and reliable measures were used to measure the variables and to obtain the data. To achieve the objectives of present study and to test the hypothesis descriptive statistics, Pearson product moment correlation, multiple correlation and linear regression was used at 0.05 level of significance. Results revealed that BMI and WC are significantlycorrelated with BP, while joint correlation of predictor variables is .646. On basis of findings it is concluded WC is most influenced measure in relation to blood pressure in most cases.

The paper describes the current position of libraries in ICT environment at Medical College Libraries. The study was performed via a questionnaire survey of the librarian and users confined only to medical college libraries with ICT based resources and services. Various services provided by libraries with support of Information & Communication Technologies to their users have been observed and discussed with the library professionals and their users. It also evaluates the users’ attitudes, aware ness and satisfaction about the library services is being provided with support of ICT. The result of the study revealed that the ICT based resource used by the largest percent of users was the e-resources.

They are believed to be one of the oldest books ever made by mankind. They are written in an old Indian language called Sanskrit. They have words (called mantras) which are chanted at the religious ceremo- nies. Although they were finally written down in 1,500 BCE. They are actually much much older and were passed down orally from one generation to the next possibly over thousands of years.

The aim of the paper is to develop media literacy among school students. television viewing has undergone great changes during the last decades and is currently far more complex than earlier, today being part of everyday television .The study is divided in to two parts the first part deals about the influence of television viewing on academic performance of adolescents. The second part deals with the effect of media literacy intervention of the students. For this study six parents and six teachers were selected to study the influence of television viewing on academic performance among adolescents and an experimental study was conducted by pre and post survey. The findings of the study reveal that media literacy intervention help the students to achieve in academic performance and get greater control over media content.
