Abstract :A Good quality education is the birth right of every child and it is a necessary condition for the development of any country in the world. One of the constitutional obligations of the Indian democracy is to provide universalisation of elementary / primary education in the country. Lots of efforts had been made before and after the independence of our country to provide free and compulsory elementary education to every child without any discrimination. In independent India, Article 45 of the Indian Constitution provided a basic framework in this direction. Apart from this various commission and committees are appointed by the Government of India. Many recommendations and programmes are chalked to universalisation of elementary education in India. Abstract :The paper intends to give two way analyses on the implication of urbanization on the demand for life insurance and non-life insurance in India. Firstly, we try out to give the theoretical background to the effect of urbanization in general on society then related it to insurance opportunities. Then we conducted an empirical investigation on the impact of urbanization on demand for life insurance and non-life insurance, i.e. Penetration and density by conducting OLS Regression, and Granger Causality. The results are similar in both grounds, suggesting inevitable urbanization opportunities can provide a positive impact for insurance products. |

Abstract :Employee Engagement is a critical aspect for most organizations given the challenges with respect to talent management and retention. The present study examined the role of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Perceived Superior Support (PSS) in predicting levels of Employee Engagement with specific reference to the employees of the Information Technology and Enabled Services (ITES) sector. 130 professionals from an Indian IT company filled the Employee Engagement scale, Perceived Organizational Support scale and Perceived Superior Support scale. Results indicated that the employee engagement levels for the male participants (Mean= 16.54, SD= 2.05) was significantly higher (t= 2. 44, p< 0.02) than Female participants (Mean= 15.6, SD= 2.35). |
